Where was your raving maniac Trump?  I didn't see it.  Seems to me he is a credible alternative to your significantly flawed candidate.

You must have dozed off for most of the debate!  Maybe a little too much drink and tapas?

Actually I was quite alert.  You must be the one blinded by ideology.  My last comment.  You aren't worth my time.

"My last comment.  You aren't worth my time."  The why the he## did you start the thread? You make less sense than either Weasel Wix or me.

Trump did well during first 30 minutes but lost it  the last hour. You must have fallen asleep dude.

Trump came across as exactly what he is...a greedy, evil, short tempered egotistical con artist.  He was never able to land a punch and that got him flustered and it was down hill from there!  Honest people, even Trump supporters, are agreeing that Hillary won this round.  You are welcome to keep whistling past the graveyard and ignoring reality without objection from me.

As a man with vertical white and black stripes, I would give the nod to Hillary.  She did great.

As a man knowing the nature of the beast, I realize her lying skills have perfected over the past 30 years & are second only to the devil himself.

The presidency is just a larger store to sell influence from.

No, my take was that he was struggling badly.   He didn't blow up though, like we've seen him do on the stage before.  But he lost this debate.  Hands down.

Even with claims of extenuating circumstances, it is good to see you are willing to recognize and admit, unlike Mr H, the truth as regards the first debate.  In the jargon of the entertainment world which Trumps understands so well...HE LAID AN EGG!

This debate was a pretty good expose’ of both of the candidates, although Trump did not blow up completely… he did struggle for answers & fell back on his old tactic of filling the air with a kind of rambling spiel that seems to be his way to 1) buy time & distract from the question he was asked or 2) pretend to be answering.   I’m always struck by the feeling that the guy says so much, that in the end you don’t know what he meant.

I bet conservatives wish there was a morning after pill to take after a night like that.   Trump showed up for the debate… unprepared & unschooled on policy matters…   and found himself putting up a weak defense of why he had used the ‘birther’ issue to further his own interests, why he hasn’t released his taxes, ...even admitting he hasn’t paid taxes…. “that makes me smart”.   No, that makes you a leach on society.

Here’s a super wealthy guy (at least he says he is that) who doesn’t pay taxes and crows about it to an audience of supporters who are complaining that their taxes are too high… but have to pay them anyway.   People who have to pay taxes are losers, Donald is not a loser.

This morning, Trump is phoning into the conservative media with complaints that the moderator treated him unfairly.   And Trump supporters are preparing to concoct story lines about Clinton that cast doubts on her.   The truth is….   Clinton looks & acts like a well-prepared candidate for the Presidency, while Trump looks like a blustering blowhard… the kind of guy who thought he could pass the final exam without studying because “I have a good brain”.

I’m still not sure Trump supporters want anything more substantive from him.   While his lack of preparation and overall qualifications for the Presidency seem totally obvious to everyone else, his supporters may cling to him simply BECAUSE he is unprepared & unqualified.   They seem to think this is a good thing.

That’s a dangerous fantasy.

especially with your last paragraph.  Fact is, even while she was kicking him in the behind he was still able to, in Broadway terms, ''lay an egg''!   Of course, trying to reason with all but a few on this forum gets no more result than preaching to a stone wall.  Trump's supporters know he flopped bad, but they will never admit it.  I have listened to several comments on TV this morning...his paid staff are offering nothing but praise, the GOP'ers not being paid to say otherwise , are admitting it was pretty much a train wreck for the Trump Express!

Truth is what Jerry Springer just tweeted..."Hillary belongs in the White House. Trump belongs on my show.''

Brilliantly worded white papers on someone's campaign website is not the same thing as actually doing something.  Trump is right - if she has been at this for 30 years, why hasn't she done anything successful?  I thought Hillary came across as smug and condesending.  And Lester Holt might as well just hang up any thought of claiming journalist standards of objectivity.

If anyone caught 60 minutes last Sunday- the interview with King Huessien of Jordan pretty much laid out the truth.  We have no idea what we are doing in fighting ISIS.  And Hillary articulated the exact problem that the King exposed - the U.S. is fighting this war like it is in segments - the "Iraqi segment" and the "Syrian problem".  Clinton alluded to "solving the problem" of ISIS as doing just that.  We are doomed to failure, because of our inability to see that ISIS doesn't think like that.  As Huessein said, the West thinks they no more about Muslims and their mindset and beliefs than the people that live there do.

Sad, but true.  Like the snot-nosed congressional staffers who think they know more than the professionals who have been at it for decades.  In my job I never reject a new idea out of hand, but if, after consideration, it turns out to be BS, I throw that flag.

Well your guy is absolutely certain he knows more than not only the experts but every other human being on the planet.  If you don't believe it just ask him or listen to his convention speech!

He may be smarter than me, though I doubt it, and he is certainly smarter than Wixie, but Hillary leaves him in the dust...she proved that Monday night.  Sad to see you, someone who is certainly brighter than Trump, refuse to face reality and admit he bombed big time.  I mean he blew it ''yooge''!

Hillary was down 2% in the Ipsos poll last week, today she is up 4% in the same poll.  Hard not to believe Monday's Trump fiasco doesn't have something to do with it.

I don't think he is dumb any more than I think Hillary is smart.  Frankly, I wish they would debate the topics rather than hurl insults at each other.  there were a lot of cheap shots on both sides.  What took place on Monday is hardly a debate - it was more like a competition to see who could get the most barbs in.  I'm afraid we are going into an election and without fully understanding exactly how they will implement their plans.  I know I don't want to have to pay for someone else's college education, since I already had to pay for mine.  I wish someone would talk about the many ways you can get a college education without it being handed to you.

And this "take from the rich and give to the poor" Hillary - I just keep imagining her in a Robin Hood costume and it isn't pretty.  It did appear to me that she had some fillers and botox put in her face for the debate since she didn't look as haggard as she usually does.
