I know there has been lots of conspiricy theories about Obama suspending the constitution, declaring marshal law, stoping the election if it looks bad for Hillary and remaining President / Dictator (Not sure if President applies  or what to call him if the Constitution is suspended)

Sometimes we have seen where theories are actually true many years down the road regardless of who wants to really acknowledge the basis in fact - yes from both sides before you start attempting to say that only republicans are that evil.

Is it possible?  if yes what mechanisms would need to be in place - a phone and pen?

if no - what is there to stop him ?  Congress ( again couldnt not type it with a straight face ) Supreme Court?  Southern Rednecks and their gun racks?  Civil war? 2nd amendment loving Ameraicans?

If I were him, I would want to get the heck out of Dodge... who wants a nuclear war as their legacy. The Russians are saying this stuff so that American citizens will put pressure on Congress and the President to get back to the negotiation table.  Russia wants Assad to stay in power, the U.S. has said no. 

My personal thing is why don't we get the heck out of Syria and let the chips fall where they may.  It should not make a difference to us if Assad stays in power or not. Once again we are doing a half hearted attempt in warfare. And one day we will just leave, once we figure out there is no easy way to win, and everyone one of our military who was killed will die for nothing.  In my opinion, we get too involved in other people's human rights.  I'm not an isolationist, but we either have to go into these things, 100% to win, or we should just stay home.  WE should have learned this lesson in Viet Nam.  How do we know we aren't being fed another domino theory?

I think most of the wars in my lifetime and most I have read about since WWII have basically been where our leaders either wanted something (oil/land/resources) or to punish someone because they dare to stand up for their rights.  We need to get out of being a world police force.

If we can not police the steets of Birmingham or Chicago where decent people can feel safe - how the hell are we going to do it at the planatary level.

There is a place for something like NATO where we can come to each others common defense when necessary and collaboration on intel and technology in the meantime to make sure that we can be safe in this world.  

I can care less what Iggy two sand dunes to the left thinks about me as I will probably never meet him - if he is sitting on a bucket of oil, well good for him.  Its not my job to take it from him or make him like me.

And along the same lines, I can't see why Obama and Hilary think we should take in 10,000 refugees and pay for their needs, when veterans can't get the care they are promised, hot lunch programs are discontinued for kids, and the elderly are wondering how they how they will live.  Charity begins at home. 

We need to stop worrying about all these other countries and their people.  NATO probably needs to be modernized, but it would be the wrong time to disband it now. 

I totally agree we must stop using our military to police the world.
