crazy woman YELLEN & crew raise fed funds rate 1/4% --WOW--bet your bank doesnt call you and say hey--we're now going to pay you .25% vs .001% on your money market & we are raising our 5 yr CDto 1.5% !!! i for one think we could do without the FED--save a lot in salaries !!!

Last increase was  December 2015 and that was the first increase since 2006. May see 3 more next year. This is the rate banks lend to each other.

not wrong--last increase --since 2006 was Dec 14; please tell me the justification for 3 more increases !! Mortgage applicants can barely qualify at 4%; 5% mortgage rates will grind home sales to zero & only the Lord knows what the real unemployment rate is

Not to mention that not only the 3 hikes scheduled in 17 and at least 2 more in 18.  Amazing that it happens so quickly with Obama going out the door.  I stated it was going to happen a few posts back if trump was elected - no one can state that the fed is not political.  They have propped up a flailing economy with artifically low rates and are now planning to tank it so that Obama does not get the blame, just that evil Trump.

You haven't proved anything. I have my check book out and am waiting for your proof that the last increase before 12/15/2016 was in 2006. IT IS NOT COMPLICATED DUDE, just post the proof and I will send you an email for your name so I can donate before year end.
