All of this over the size of a crowd. Spicer will go down in history for calling his first press release to argue abut the size of a damn crowd. I would hope m president could begin to act like a president. I wonder if the crowd at Chiminy rock will be bigger this season with Trump as president.

Once again, the press started it - they had to make a point that there was white floor showing in the  crowd and put out speculation as to why.  I'd like to know why this is news.  Who really cares if it was 250,000 people or 1 million.  He was still inaugurated and he is still President.  Media kept showing pictures from one of Obama's inaugurations.  Was that appropriate?

btw, did you hear about the NBC dateline reporter, Kathie someone, that tweeted that Barron Trump was a future homeschooled shooter. Of course, when a fuss was made she deleted it.  He is a 10 year old boy.  The media has lost all perspective about what is news.

Surprising to me that no one has called attention to these two facts:

1.  It was a rainy day which probably had a significant effect on folks willing to walk miles, then stand in the rain for hours, for 5 minutes of memories.

2.  Also, if I remember correctly o-BAMMIE's crowd was heavily augmented by Fed workers who were given time off to attend their hallowed god's coronation.

All Federal workers in the DC area were intstructed to telework Friday as a way to reduce congestion in DC.  I would imagine the same is true on all inauguration days.

what difference does it make?  DJT is President and will be for at least four years.  Let them rant and rave.  Let them say Oblamer crowds were bigger.  Bravo foxtrot delta.

What a strange way to describe it. When the President's Press Secretary  calls the reporters to the WH and reads a prepared statement about how many attended, I would say the RIGHT made the big deal out of nothing. But little minds act strange. Crowd size is alway reported for events. Mature people just read it and move on. To Trump supporters, it became a big deal and coined a new phrase

As Trump would say his supporters are all talk and no action. They are just lazy deplorables who stayed home and watched it on TV while eating chips and drinking diet pepsi. In 2009, the temp was 28 degrees and a record crowd turned out. Spin it, dice it, use alternative facts but accept it the crowd was smaller than either Obama coronation.

Not all government workers get inauguration day off.  Only those with offices downtown get it off, because they have roads shut down all over the District, and public transportation is mobbed with those attending the inauguration.  It's not a gift, it is a practicality.  With telecommuting, it is likely that they worked from home that day. 

Yes, it was a bit rainy.  Another point is that DC residents are 94% black, and would not necessarily turn out to see another white guy made President.  There were huge delays for entrance to the areas, because security was very tight.

1 - I do not drink pepsi products.

2 - I do not drink diet products.

3 - I was not at home and was being a productive member of society.

4 - Did not watch it because i was being productive.

5 - I do like to lump myself in the bitter clinger deplorable catagory, as to do put myself into any catagory with such a rabid liberal would probably be enough to make me want to head for the nearest prozac or medical marijuana dispensory for my pipe.

6.  Wix indicated that people may have stayed home due to the forcasted rain event - I would call that as myth busters say at least plausable.

7.  In respone to wix and his question of weather being a factor -  as you indicated with "WIX AND HIS RAINY DAY THEORY" you post a chart of temperatures.  Talk about lazy and as expected you somehow can equate temperature and rain.  

Please watch your facts, generalizations, exaggerations and opinions.  By your reasoning right here your entire arguement is invalid and moot.  Your opinions are not facts, your attempt to equate RAIN with TEMPERATURE is exactly what we have come to dispise in the news media.

I will give my own opinion that to make the claim it was the largest ever is just silly.
