Why is no one interested in discussing the chaotic situation at Berkeley? Of course very little is being covered by the liberal media. The rioting that took place just because the radical liberal left can't accept the fact that there are rational human beings who don't share their views of the world is shameful. Hopefully everyone has seen the video of the young lady who was pepper sprayed by a masked coward who immediately ran away speaks volumes about the tyoes of people who say they are peaceful demonstrators. It appears that he may have acted because she was wearing a red cap that very much resembled the cap used during Donald Trump's presidential campaign. However, the main difference was that it said, "Make Bitcoin Great Again", Not "Make America Great Again". Maybe he was just unable to read the "inscription" that was on the cap.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                              Furthermore, Berkeley administrators told the students who were sponsoring the scheduled speaker that they would be responsible for paying for "security" for the event. Where were the police? Obviously they had been told to standown. The rioting resulted in a substantial amount of damage to the University and only "one" person was arrested. Also shown in the video was one man who was chased down by the rioters and beaten until he was laying unconscious on the street. The more cases that happen like this where innocent people are attacked and private property is damaged with no one being held accountable will just lead to more of the same. What would be the reaction of any one of us if it was our daughter who got pepper sprayed, especially by a "Maske Coward"? With no police and fire protection being provided, the whole campus could have gone up in flames. That might have been the only positive thing that could have happened that night.

What I read is that this is an organized group that shows up to start a riot.  There wasn't much media coverage of this at all.  I think when "masked" protesters show up, police should be there to arrest them at the first moment of trouble.

The reason you are not hearing anything about it from the lame stream media is that it does not make the liberals look good.  Higher education in America is a joke, it is a not a place of free speech or thought.

My daughter had to take a public speaking class  a few years back for her degree, the instructor made it well known that he was homosexual, and that any pretty girls, and in his words "All them damn cheerleaders" were going to have a really hard time in his class. My son when he was in highschool knows more about the sexual orientation of his teachers and their political beliefs then is necessary, why the hell are these things even discussed?  He was there to learn math, science, english etc, not that teacher A swings both ways, or that teacher B had to have a safe zone around kids who did not hold her political beliefs.

The coward who peppersprayed the young lady directly in the eyes, around here would have had his ass stomped into a mudhole for such a shameful attack on anyone, regardless of the alternative point of view - the protesters should have taken him behind the woodshed - but I guess in the minds of the students and administration of Berkeley assault and battery is acceptable if it meets a political purpose, but if someone had put a hand on the pepperspraying punk I am sure that person would have been arrested for being a violent republican for coming to the aid of someone who was now blinded by point blank spray.

If someone wants to peacefully protest go for it, blocking roads, overpasses, riots, vandalism and arson should be a one way ticket to the nearest holding facility.

The administration of Berkley should refund the security fees that the students paid to keep the event "secure" and if anyone finds out who the punk with pepperspay is there should be assault charges filed.  If could have been much worse if she was asthmatic or had other conditions - could have been charges of murder or manslaughter.

Actions have consequences, keep it up liberals - your just reinforcing the idea to the rest of America that yall are damn nutz.

Funny the Mayor or Berkeley hours before the event!!

"Using speech to silence marginalized communities and promote bigotry is unacceptable. Hate speech isn't welcome in our community."

https://www.theguardian.com/us-news/2014/dec/12/undercover-officer-pulls-gun-on-oakland-protesters

An undercover California highway patrol officer who had infiltrated protests against police violence in Oakland pulled a gun on demonstrators after his and his partner’s cover was blown.

The Berkeley Daily Planet reported that the two men tried to walk away, but the couple of dozen remaining protesters “persisted, screaming at the two undercover cops”. The Planet said that an officer “pushed a protester aside”. The demonstrator allegedly pushed back and was tackled and handcuffed.

“Somebody snatched a hat off the shorter guy’s head and he was fumbling around for it. A guy ran up behind him, knocked him down on the ground. That guy jumped backed up and chased after him and tackled him and the crowd began surging on them,” Short said.

He told the Chronicle that the officer pulled a small baton out, then a gun, after the crowd started “surging” them. The Planet reported that more officers quickly moved in to disperse demonstrators.

In a stunning admission, the patrol’s Golden Gate Division told the San Francisco Chronicle that officers had been dressing like and walking with protesters since the first demonstration on 24 November, attempting to gather intelligence to stop highway shutdowns.

And assualting officers, had not heard that in the news!!!!!

Quite a number of years ago a law was past, and I believe it was federal, that it was a felony for anyone to wear a mask at a demonstretion. It was aimed at the KKK and it worked well.

At Bezerkly we don't know if these guys are students or professional anarchist. In the 60's they had a cadry of professional agitators that went city to city to organize and lead these riots. They always knew just when to slip away and leave others holding the bag. Same play book?

It was on CNN and MSNBC all evening. I agree they should have rounded up the masked rioters and hauled their butts to jail. However, my confidential source has told me the rioters were from the alt right protesting the fact that Milo Yiannopoulos is not a citizen of the US(he is British) and he is GAY. Hardly someone who 99% of the forum would support. Unless, the 99% are really closet snowflakes.

Glad to know you have a "confidential" source. Without the benefit of that additional information we deplorables would "never" know what is happening around the world. Please continue to keep us informed.

Milo is right on politically. I watched him at the Foy Union Bldg., Auburn University. He and I agree on most everything political.

Gay thing is not for me.

yup your still a dumbass, secret sources that claim alt-right protesters were able to out do leftie loons at burning a campus.

If the protesters were alt-right the police/campus administration would not have stood by and watched, they would have used everything at their disposal and arrested all of them to be able to run the headline that the left is tolerant and the right is bigoted and wanted to make "fake news"

you can keep your alternative facts in your alternative universe.
