I live in a shallow slough and have a lot of weeds growing in lake at the shoreline. Has any one had any success getting rid of these weeds. They go dormant in the winter as the lake goes down. I have read about Aquicide but am concerned about using it in the lake.

I hate to be the bearer of bad news, the only way of ridding your area of these weeds is to dig up the roots. Once you have dug up the roots put them in garbage bags and send them to the dump. Do not throw them back into the water, they will find another home. This will not be an overnight solution it may take a couple of years because of roots that were not completely dug up. Please do not use Aquicide or any other chemicals in or near our beautiful lake.

I used a tiller to dig mine up years ago.it was tough but worth it.the roots will get tested up in the times and you have to stop and clean it from time .
