Hi there, I have watched the Lake Mead Level chart  http://mead.uslakes.info/Level/ for several years. It's an awesome resource to watch the levels go up and down during the year and comparing year vs previous years (great visual!)

We have been getting a LOT of rain the last few weeks in California (finally!) and the southwest USA in general, and I was looking forward to seeing Lake Mead recover from the previous several years of drought in the southwest.

The chart shows Lake Mead suddenly flat the last couple weeks in a row here in Fed 2019 after a steady rise for weeks in a row (see image below).. is this a data mistake, a policy decision or any I missing something?  (If I am asking a dumb question, my apology to veteran forum users / people in the know on this topic.. I am new to this posting questions stuff!).

I am new to this as well but I suspect it has something to do with increased outflow at Hoover Dam starting around Feb 1.

Yes, that makes total sense, Chris.  I was just hoping to see THIS year's chart keep going up and surpass the previous years (for a change!).

Damn those guys (no pun intended) for increasing the release... let poor old Lake Mead fill up some, ha!

Hi, I just joined the forum and agree it’s time to let the lake fill up. I am in the mountains of northern Az. And we have been getting gobs of rain and we just had 32 inches of snow. Arizona reservoirs should get full this spring so we shouldn’t need much water from the Colorado river this year.
