I thought his stepping down was admirable.  He knows the media is not going to let go of a case that took place 10 years ago and will distract from the work that Labor is doing.  Y'all won't bother to read the articles that said that there was insuffiient evidence to take it to trial and win.  Epstein is a nasty piece of work, but not everyone he has ever touched is dirty.  Most people like that don't exactly advertise their lifestyle.

I tend to agree Hound that Acosta, getting out of the way, MAY, and I say may with some doubt mixed in, allow media to focus on Epstein's enablers and others who participated in his sick world.  Am I optimistic that names will be revealed?  I am  not holding my breath.  But to Fish's post regarding Acosta, Ken Starr last evening, who I admire as a straight shooter, was on Epstein's defense team.  Starr explained Acosta's involvement for us non legal minds and said nothing of the sort the Fish follows with.  This was a Florida state criminal proceeding and Acosta wanted Fed charges brought, which although meek, were more than Epstein was going to get from Florida prosecuters.  There was nothing nefarious in Acosta's legal behaviour.  This coming from Ken Starr, former Dean of Pepperdine Law School.

if our president pops up in those investigations?  The prosecutors in SDNY now have access to all Epstein's videos which includes lot of party action.  Wonder if any of them are from the 1992 party in one Epstein's residences where a woman, who was 14 at the time, claims one of the guest, Developer Donald J. Trump, attempted to rape her!  Oh yeah CRC, if the Secty's exit refocuses the story as you hope, it could get real interesting!!!

If Trump really sexually assaulted and raped as many women as have claimed he did, I can't imagine how he had the time to become the kind and successful a real estate investor and developer as he became.  Do you know that Maples divorced him because she said all he wanted to do was work?  He's always had a big personality, and unfortunately, those kind of personalities attract gold diggers looking to make a fast buck.

I don't even think that Bill Clinton, who does have a colorful sexual history, was into Epsteins world of procuring underage women.  

FYI, it is my understanding that lawyers often meet outside of their offices to discuss cases.  Adcock realized that he didn't have enough to win the case at trial, so they cut a deal.  But that is ancient history, and I am sure that they have enough on Epstein to prosecute him this time.  In case you don't know, there are a lot of cases that just aren't procecutable or so I am told by someone that worked in a prosecuter's office - it makes them sick, but the law is the law.  

If Epstein was doing what he is alleged to have done, he is slime, but it doesn't mean that everyone that has ever known him or talked to him is slime.  Some slime cleans up nicely, without leaving that shiny trail for the world to see.

Considering the spin coming from Democrats, I guess Archie has no problems with the multitude of flights by Clinton on the Pedo-plane and that he was a major DEMONCRAT donor.

My guess is that Clinton pulled some strings to make it a sweetheart deal so as not to have his supply of girls cut off, which is just as valid of a theory as Archie's.

And since there are flight logs that shows that Clinton is already lying about only being on the plane 4 times - I wonder which speculation is closer to the truth - Antifatech wanting us to think about a "what if" it points to DJT or his glossing over of Clintons more likely envolvement.

Apparently after Epstein got out of jail the last time, he picked a few social friends who were willing to overlook his past, for his entre back into society, who could help him rub elbows with society figures and other wealthy people.  It looks to me like he hired a publicist to make sure it was known that he was hobnobing with the elite, to help him get his business off the ground.  But just because it appeared he was accepted back in society, that really wasn't the case with everyone.  As far a Bill Clinton's friendship with him, well, Clinton's moral compass has always been a mystery.  

Another interesting thing was that when he taught at the NYC upper crust Dalton school, he was known for his unconventional clothing and behavior.  Apparently even then he liked to flirt with young girls.  He was let go from that job - how he got it is a good question, since he didn't even have a college degree or a teaching certificate, but the school administrator at the time was liberal in his thinking about who he hired to teach.

I am fully aware that nothing is likely to come out against Herr Groppenfuherer and, sadly, even more aware that even if it did very few Trump supporters are likely to turn against the man they worship.  I will get back to you as soon as even just one of those Trump lovers who daily prove him to be correct in saying ''I could shoot somebody on 5th Ave and they would still support me'' waffle in their adoration for this hate filled, unstable, ego-maniac!  I honestly believe that if a video surfaced showing Donald Trump and Vladimir Putin taking turns at raping a 12 year old deaf mute retarded girl in the oval office he would still be the 2020 preference of at least 80% of this forum.  That is scary...as is the fact that with this man such a video's existance is not out of the question!

I agree you are probably correct.  But, I ask you as I did CRC...even though very unlikely, if irrefutable evidence should come out that Trump participated in some of the underage sexcapades with Epstein would you still support him, or would he be ''slime'' too?  Even if he was ''slime'' would you still vote for him?  Honestly I think most of this forum and most of the man's base would still defend him and happily cast their vote for him in 2020!  Guess I'm missing something!

Why would I even go there if I don't believe he did or would.  It's not anywhere in the realm of normal behavior.  Epstein is a sick puppy, just like R.Kelly.  These people are no where on the normal spectrum.  Satutory rape is against the law.

You are right that the actions of Epstein are not in the realm of normal behavior.  That is why I am fearful for the nation.  There are tens of millions of us who love this nation, whether MM and Mr H recognize it or not, who firmly believe Trump is well outside that realm of normality.  Epstein is a sick sleazebag, Donald Trump is president of the United States.  Why do you simply accept that Trump is not a fellow-traveler?  Why do you simple accept that he did not or would not?  Really, why?  Its not a rhetorical question.  It is an attempt to understand why he gets a pass from so many usually reasonable people on this forum.
