Lest you should yet be unclear about the intent of the 2nd Amendment, i.e.

“A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed.”

Let us suppose, for a moment, that the Ukrainian people had been disarmed.

The battles of Lexington and Concord were, by the “Colonists”, prosecuted from behind stone walls and tree trunks. Those patriots responded with whatever firearms they had at hand. Recall that the British plan was to seize their arsenal(s).

It did not go well. The British fought according to their battle plan and with strict obedience to the cental command.  Our patriots did not.

The British DID NOT learn from their experiences during the French and Indian War. The Russians learned nothing from their Afghanistan campaign. And WE are front row to the show on why Viet Nam was – for us - a combat debacle.

However… I still do not understand why 12 GA 7½ sporting clay ammo is being rationed at Academy Sports.

Have not been in Academy in years so not sure what their supply looks like - most places are still having difficulties getting back to what was considered full stock because demand is high and production while improving is still not keeping up with demand.

Went to the local walmart the other day to get a few things and just shook my head when I passed "Sporting Goods"  ammo isle used to be a full isle on both sides - now not more then one or two sections behind the desk behind glass.  Shotgun shells used to be a full half isle by itself - when I grabbed some shells back around New Years -  I literally bought the last 3 boxes of 7 1/2  12 guage shells that they had in stock.

I think for a while we had a "surplus" that allowed manufacturers not to have to run at 100% to meet demand since there was lots of ammo in the supply chain.  The Biden Election, Covid, BLM riots, national Fentanyll Floyd riots and uncertainty drove demand to where historically it has never been seen.  Reloading supplies vanished from shelves in something I have not seen in my lifetime.  Either more people were purchasing and hoarding or lots more people got into reloading because the shelves were bare.

4 US manufacturers currently supply most primers in the US for ammo including military and police use which I am sure is having its contracts filled off the top of what is avialable.  Reloading usually is what is left over.

Did just find an article that another primer manufacturer may be starting up in Texas to help
