This was announced the  beginning of April.

"I have authorized, pursuant to a delegation from the President earlier today, a drawdown to provide immediate military assistance to Ukraine valued at up to $800 million.  This authorization is the seventh drawdown of arms, equipment, and supplies from Department of Defense inventories for Ukraine since August 2021. 

Today’s authorization will bring the total U.S. security assistance commitment to Ukraine to more than $3.2 billion since the beginning of this Administration, and more than $2.5 billion since the beginning of Russia’s brutal assault against Ukraine began on February 24."

Wonder if he is going to treat it like the  $2000 covid payments if the two dems won GA - and then deducted what Trump had already sent out.

Also I hope there are not current investigations into Hunter going on where he might withhold until the prosecution is fired.

"and then deducted what Trump had already sent out." That was a smart move to keep the deficit as low as possible. Biden realized enough was enough with the Government Welfare handouts. Conservatives, no different from the Left, loved the opportunity  to get their share of Welfare and then they  bitch about feeding poor kids with food stamps.

Hunter is a disaster. Nothing redeeming about him or the 2 older Trump kids.....

But who is responding to the question?  Was this part of the Defense Authorization Bill?  Since they are saying it is being done under the auspices of Secruity Assistance, that would usually mean that the FMS cases would have to be written, equipment located, Congress Notified before anything gets shipped out.  But if it has been in the pipeline, the stuff may have been sitting on pallets, waiting to be airlifted.  Back in the day, I've worked a number of these specical drawdown.  As long as everyone remembers that this equipment is likely being taken out of National Guard, Reserve and perhaps active duty units and will have to be replaced, which will likely increase the Defense budget next year and the equipment will not be replaced for at least 24 months.  And want to bet there is a Quid pro quo for these other countries providing equipment?  

My point is this - Biden throws around Millions and Billions so often it is hard to keep track.  I suspect that they are running the treasury on a 24/7 basis now.

Biden pulled the troops out of Afghanistan leaving some 360,000 M-16, some 150,000  machine guns, God knows how much C-4, all sorts of aircraft, vehicles of all sorts on and on.

  Now we gave the Ukrain some 80 billion worth of arms. 

   Then we cut the military,s budget.

  I guess when the Chinese invade we have enough rocks. Or maybe we could go home and get our .22!

  Unless a miracle happenes America is destroyed

What bothers me is that the acquisition leadtime for replacement equipment is usually 24-48 months.  So depending on where the equipment is coming from, someone in the US military is doing without.  And that affects training.  

I heard this morning that Putin is taking supplying Ukraine as a personal insult and he's back to rattling the nukes again.  I keep wondering if we will get through this war without being blasted to smitherenes.  All he has to do is fire one nuke and this country will be in total chaos.

aww he lied, and he demanded someone be fired who was investigating Hunter and no bid deal - hey look Trump kids.  He promised $2000 and did not deliver.  He is a liar, period.  When you get ready to post a helpful hint would be - Would I post differently if it was Trump...... - in your case the answer to that is always.

Wonder if maybe he called up the Taliban that took over Afganastan to see if they could crate up some of the billions of dollars of weapons, trucks, planes, helicopters and ammo that we left for them to see if they would ship to Ukraine.

I guess that is possible, but this $800M was announced after a phone call with Zelansky this past weekend.
