Some posts magically disappeared from the forum, at least two of them mine. Curious as to how that happened and why. Complaint by another forum member? Violation of a forum rule?  These things are not happenstance. Webmaster could you explain?  Email reply is fine.

Doxing another forum member by mention of a family name. Because this forum uses usernames, there may be a reasonable expectation of anonymity, but that can't be guaranteed. If not requested by the other member, I wouldn't have given the sub-post a second thought. You know it has been several years since I've been asked to intervene here. I tried to put myself in the shoes of all parties. It's not a decision I made hastily.

I figured that is what happened. In a former life I was an operations security analyst and try very hard to not include enough information, even across many posts, that would, when pieced together, reveal a person's identity.  In this case I failed that standard and an astute person might put some snippets of information in that post and eventually determine, at a minimum, the son's identity.

There is a long history with this partular poster taking advantage many years ago of my emailing him off line using my true identity and him not reciprocating, refusing to reveal his identity to me.  Instead he steadfastly mined the internet for personal information on me, and especially troubling, my family and used it in posts on this forum.  The other night I reacted to a particularly hypocritical post of his and posted a pretty "chippy" slam that included the name of his son.  After that he called me on my home phone and basically said his wife was giving him a ration of "stuff" and forced him to call me.  I recognized his name on caller ID and listened to what he had to say, which was basically that I shouldn't do to him what he had done to me in the past.

Again, thanks for the explanation and I will be a better behaved poster in the future...unless wrongfully attacked.

I called you and you did not answer. I left you the message as you described and said I would call you back the following evening. You posted you would rather send an email and would I provide my email which I sent you. I also emailed you that I had requested the removal. I have not called back and have not heard back from you.

My call was to find out what I posted that was personal about your family? You keep making reference to it...send an email or post it here. This goes back to 2010 when you emailed me to see if we could begin an exchange of emails.
