Yes, he was very lucky that someone was trained in CPR and immediately started chest compressions. What I found inspiring was the number of prayers and positive thoughts headed his way, even from people that don't follow the NFL or his team. The reaction of the teams when he collapsed was heartbreaking. I'm sure it was a trauma that any of them will forget any time soon. Also, people reached out to the player that hit him to let him know that he was loved too and it wasn't his fault. It made me feel better about humanity than anything else in a long time.
Excess deaths not attributable to COVID infections have skyrocketed all over the world....well except in places that are not heavily vaxxed. 2022 was a statistically impossible outlier for excess deaths......by that I mean that it can not be explained as just a higher year within the statistically normal range. It was an outlier in a very large way.
While I am only 63, I can never recall a time when so many healthy young people, including athletes, are having cardiac events and many are dying. It has gotten to the point where I now personally know more young people that have died unexpectedly from a heart issue than people of all ages that died from COVID.
From what I read, this had nothing to do with a COVID vaccine - the explanation is that, while rare, when the tackler hit him square in the chest, it stopped his heart. It's a freak thing. But he is now out of the ICU and in a hospital back home. I guess that are still monitoring him to assess any permanent damage to his heart muscle. He is just a very lucky young man.
Not true in this instance and most instances. Look for the opinion of Dr Peter McCullough internationally and most published cardiologist who indicated that blow to the heart that you are thinking about usually occurs in baseball. He believes this is a clear case from the vaccine but please look it up. he calls for the immediate removal of the vaccine.

I have read that Mr. Hamlin suffered two seperate cardiac arrest events. The first occured immediately after the tackle when he collapsed on the field and the second occured after he arrived by ambulance at UC Medical Center. While I am no medical expert, it would seem that if what I read is accurate, the sudden impact to the chest might explain the first cardiac event but I don't see how it would cause the second event, after he had already been resuscitated on the field.
Yeah, that's one possible theory but it has a number of problems. First, this is a very rare phenomenon almost always relegated to baseball and hockey where a small hard object hits the exact right spot in the chest during a specific 2 or 3 millisecond timeframe during a heart muscle movement. In football the player has pads over the chest area that spreads any blow to the chest. Lots of other issues that have been outlined by cardiologists about why while this is a possible explanation, it is highly unlikely....as in close to zero probablility. But it is the best alternative to the most logical explanation with high rates of myocarditis/periocarditis seen as a result of the vaccines. I think what we are seeing here is a combination of confirmation bias where vaxxed people will look for any other explanation to avoid the worry about their decision and the govt/media/medical community loathe to admit they made a mistake.
Whatever the cause I am glad he survived and kudos to the training team that did everything correct. And as pointed out above, his second cardiac arrest cannot be explained by a blow to the chest. Nor can the hundreds of other cardiac events happening to young, healthy athletes all over the world. Saw an article with a list of almost 800 cardiac events with healthy, young athletes. Maybe this has always happened but I seriously doubt it. I had never known this to happen prior to the last two years and I personally now know more young men that died of sudden cardiac arrest than I personally know of all ages that died from COVID. Something is going on and I am still 100% convinced that young people should not get vaxxed or boosted from a disease with a fatality rate of 0.0009% for those under age 21.

female 0-17 is 7.93 per million and males are 8.35 per million. while this chart is not specific to 1-21 years of age it is close enough to 9 per million that it does not seem far fetched to think 9 per million for both male and female is so far out in left field that MM's number would be suspect.

The Right likes to make a big deal about the vaccine but is silent when it comes to school shootings with assault type weapons. It is horrible that kids have died from the vaccine. But, some of us feel the same about the school shootings. Too bad, the Right can't help find a viable solution to save kids from dying while attending class.

And here's the bizarre aspect of the IFR for those under 21......take out those with co-morbidities and the IFR might as well be zero. Trump pushed for a warp speed vaccine. He had no choice as the goal was to save lives. It is so easy to look back and find fault. Yes, the vaccine was not perfect as it was on tested for a few months. Big pharma did the best they could under the circumstances and so did Trump.
