I watched some of the testimony on the FBI whistleblowers and was especially sickened not only by the retaliation by the corrupt leaders of the agency but by the nauseating double standards of the Democrats and the govt media.  When the whistleblower brings forward information harmful to a Republican they are lauded as heroic but when it's about the corruption and misdeeds of the leftists in govt they are "insubordinate".  As I have always maintained, if it weren't for double standards the left and Democrats would have none at all.

Their testimony was both frightening and infuriating.  Garland and Wray should both resign in disgrace or be impeached.  And I thank the good Lord every day that an evil and corrupt person like Merrick Garland is not and will never be on the Supreme Court.   Not a huge fan of McConnell but he will have my enduring gratitude for preventing that partisan hack from ever being a member of SCOTUS.

Oh and by the way, if you wonder why the govt is pushing the idea of a cashless society look no further than the scumbags at Bank of America turing over their customers banking records to the FBI without any legal requirement to do so, no formal process, no notification of their customers, nothing.  If you in or around DC on or around Jan 6 the bank gave the FBI your transactions.  If I had been there and found that out I would be looking for a lawyer to sue them into oblivion.

I watched it too.  I agree it is entirely possible that they were forced out, because they refused to conform to the group-think.  Just the way they described b being treated made me think that it is exactly what happened.  And being in the FBI, they were likely not afforded any of the usual civil service protections regarding employment.  I did have to smile when I heard the saying that they had not been contacted by any of their former colleagues - that is so like Washington attitude of "don't get any on me".  

I am deeply discouraged by the politiciaztion and weaponization of the FBI and Justice Department.  You would think the leadership with resign, but with Biden being so corrupt, I can only think that they are corrupt as well.  I'd love to see them get nailed, but I doubt they will.  I mean it isn't like this was broadcast on a network, but CSPAN and I doubt anyone much watches.  Not much media coverage either.  

That Deligate (I assume from the Distric) was plenty nasty talking about a double standard between republicans and democrats, but the truth is, I don't think it much matters which party - both sides are corrupt and are likely to do what the prevailing party wants.  The rot in these organizations apparently goes very deep.  

I'm really discouaged about our government in a way that a lot of people wouldn't understand. When you spend your working life believing you are serving your country and trying to stay within the ethics of a job, only to see that everything you believed is just trash, it tends to be heartbreaking.  I thought that the crap that went on with Bush and Iraq was bad, but that pales in comparison to the wide spread corruption we are seeing now.

Best suggestion I've heard so far in how to reform the FBI is to break it into two.  One that focuses on domestic crime and one that focuses on international crime.  That way it would be much harder to do what they did with the Russia collusion hoax and the protection of the Clintons.

Frankly, it would do the country so much good if all these agencies were moved out of DC.  Leave the political appointees and a staff to support them and every other job would be in the districts.  It's interesting to note that I believe most, if not all of the whistleblowers were from district offices.  And a lot of the push back to politically motivated requests for action came from the district offices when "headquarters" told them to do something they throught was improper or not justified.  They live in the real world, have friends in the real world and are not corrupted by the toxic environment inside the beltway.  Classic case of subsidiarity.  That would send DC into a tailspin if the next Republican president did just that.  That's how you limit the damage the deep state can do to Americans.

I agree with that.  However, let me tell you why that won't happen:

1.  Phyically relocating people is expensive to the government.  it's covered under the Joint Travel Regulation and there is not much that is negotiable.  If people won't move they have to be bought out and that gets expensive to.  

2.  One of the arguments that is always used is that they need to be in the beltway to attend meetings.  I would think that with the technology that would go away.

3.  Political appointees and the WH don't like to be away from each other.  

4.  The government would have to find office space rental or build new buildings.  I'm sure that thre are special electronic security standards that have to be met.  As I was leaving DC years ago, they were just finishing up a new building in Northern VA for the FBI.  Not technically in the beltway, but close enough.  

But I agree, the best thing to do would split the FBI, and clean house.  They could also put more career civil servants to charge of things and reduce the overall number of political appointees.  More often than not, it is the political appointees that are bringing politicals into it.  They owe their position to the WH so that's where they loyalty will be.

I learned well in a university psychiatry department that it's a coping mechanism to deal with injustice.  While it's just a fact of life, those of us believe that God has a plan it's also a lesson of patience.  There are those who believe a divine plan is unfolding and that trust is the word!

Oh I know the relocation will likely never happen.  It could be done over a long time through attrition.  Someone quits or retires, replace that position in a field office instead of DC.  Would save the govt massive amounts of money.  But a long time is one thing a President doesn't have......even 8 years would not even remotely do the trick.  One thing a President and GOP-controlled Congress could do is eliminate federal employee unions.  That would be a step in the right direction.

The only thing you stated that I can't agree with is the comment about turning more over to the civil servants.  I used to think that would help in reducing the politics but not any more, especially in DC.  I can assure you that 95% of the civil servants in DC are activist Democrats....they only hire like minded people and conservatives quickly tire of having to pay union dues, hide their political views and having to listen to all the leftist garbage from their co-workers.  Literally the only way to fix this is to dramatically shrink the size and scope of the Federal govt (another thing that isn't going to happen) and/or move those jobs out of the DC area.

So basically it is pretty much hopeless.
