They may be the only national sports team in the history of this country that caused a majority of Americans to cheer against them and celebrate losing to Sweden...the earliest departure in history to a team they were wildy favored to defeat.  And what is even better is that anti-American freak Meghan Rapinoe totally duffed their last chance to win.  Could not have ended in any better way from the perspective of millions of Americans, including me.

Not to mention the Swedish women's team joined a bunch of 15-year old boys in beating our team.  Kind of like Venus Williams losing to the 205th ranked men's tennis player...in straight sets.

I didn't exactly cheer against them, but I also, for the first time since I started watching World Cup matches years ago, didn't bother to watch them this time.  They need to pay attention to soccer and representing their country on the pitch and leave the politics to the politicians.

Not much of a futbol fan myself but even if I were I would not watch the American women's team and did actively hope they would lose.  I feel sorry for the very few of them that are not anti-America but they are clearly overshadowed by the leftists on the team, which is a shame.  Have to say it was the first time ever for me to be pulling for another country over the U.S. but I wanted to have those insefferable players lose so I didn't have to see them dissing our national anthem. 

And to think that a team that previously won the World Cup lost badly to a team of 15-year old boys are being paid the same as the men's team.....despite generating nowhere near the interest or revenue.  Crazy world we live in these days.
