Most of these people that complain about these boats wish they could afford one, The pontoons and the fishings boats have the lake from Nov. till April, then fun starts. These boat require more upkeep than most others and pay more taxes. So let them have their fun and pay the price.

I have to disagree but... Most of the people that complain are really committed to the lake and are concerned about the quality of life around the lake. The ones I have heard over the years own property and or live on the lake and have a much larger investment in the lake than an expensive boat.

That's why there are regulations on noise in the first place. Keep the boat, just quiet the thing down. The need to attract attention by driving a noisy boat is just pure adolescence.

Reminds me of the small Honda Civics with the huge exhaust pipes and dual bass speakers the size of their trunk lids. You get the wax cleaned out of your ears and a full body massage everytime you pull up beside one at a traffic light. I believe they refer to it as "tricking them out".

Thats your comparisson with adolescence and just being "cool".

They certainly do not seem to hear emergency vehicles approaching.
