I do believe that a majority of the voters of that County voted the Sheriff into office. Am I correct in that assumption Mr. Reel? That is why they deserve him or her. Now, please tell us (should of done that in the first place) why you personally think that the majority of that County's voters were wrong. It seems that your question is slanted in that direction. You "reel-y" didn't give us much to work with on your vauge question.

ALL I KNOW IS THAT HE TOLD MY WIFE AND I THAT WE LIVED IN A GRAY AREA.(bethal area). 5 MILES FROM TOWN,1 MILE OUT OF THE CITY LIMITS.THE CITY POLICE WON'T COME AND THE COUNTY DOESN'T WANT TO.IF THEY DO, IT TAKES 45MIN. TO 1 HOUR TO DO SO. THERE ARE 4 WHEELERS IN THE ROAD AT ANY GIVEN TIME, DAY OR NIGHT. THEY TRESSPASS THROUGH THE FRONT YARD DIGGING UP THE GRASS AND COME BY THE HOUSE SCREAMING AND HOLLERING VULGARITIES. THEY RACE IN THE ROAD AT NIGHT SIDE BY SIDE WITH NO LIGHTS. WE HAVE CALLED THE SHERIFF'S DEPT. FOR THE PAST 4 YEARS AND OUR SHERIFF TELLS US THERE IS NOTHING HE CAN DO ABOUT IT.I MUST BE MISINFORMED ABOUT THE LAW.( MY GRANDFATHER CARRIED A BADGE FOR 35 YEARS). SORRY IT TOOK SO LONG TO GET BACK,BEEN GONE TO FLEA MARKETS ALLDAY.

LAST NIGHT ABOUT 945, THE 4 WHEELER FROM THE FIRST HOUSE ON THE RIGHT ON WILLIAMS DRIVE CAME UP IN OUR YARD AND FLUNG A BEER BOTTLE AT THE HOUSE. THEY HAD NO IDEA I WAS IN THE YARD UNDER THE CARPORT. I FLUNG A FIBERGLASS SLEDGE HAMMER AT THEM WITH THE FULL INTENT OF CONTACT.I CALL ED THE SHERIFF'S DEPT.. A CAR SHOWED UP ABOUT 20 MIN. LATER.HE FILLED OUT A REPORT AND SAID HE WOULD HANG AROUND A WHILE,JUMPED IN THE CAR AS SOON AS HE FINISHED THE REPORT AND LEFT. I STAYED OUTSIDE UNTIL 11:30.NEVER DID SEE THE DEPUTY COME BY AGAIN.I HAVE NOT A CLUE AS TO WHO THESE PEOPLE ARE OR WHY THIS IS IS HAPPENING.

we heard last year, they scoped out the houses on the 4 runners and then came back and robbed them.....
coulda been just a story...but made sense at the time.
glad you didn't get hit by the bottle, and kinda glad you didn't hit the guy, who knows what trouble that coulda brought. what's the old saying, drag em inside??

About 25-yrs ago, worked for a fencing company in north NJ installing primarily chain-link. One job was just off a busy hwy (Rt. 17). Reason for the fence - next-door neighbors were harassing the customer. Each time a new fence was installed on the customers' property, the neighbor ripped it down. Police reports, restrainment orders, etc. But, outside of paying fines, nothing major occurred to the neighbors. While at the job and installing the support pipes, the neighbor stated I was wasting my time since it was just gonna get torn down again. I politely asked to wait until we got paid. Shortly thereafter, the customer moved to a better part of town.
Worse is my grandparents had to move out of their Chicago suburb due to gangs (and other panty-waste cretins) moving-in. And they had lived there for over 50-yrs. without any problems in the neighborhood, i.e., until it started to become the 'hood.
ultralitereel, not saying to move, but, if a few of the neighbors are unfriendly and law enforcement is as worthless as boobs on a warthog, you may have to use the move option as a last resort. And that is a shame anytime someone has to resort to that.

Well, sometimes you have to get sly, cunning and alert. We had serious problems in Nam with ten ton trucks hauling our rome plow D-7s running over expended M-79 grenade cassing. Puts a right big hole in a big expensive tire. You might want to sharpen up some 1 inch diameter iron piping and place it in strategic locations in your yard. Remember where you put them so you don't run over'em. Big tires can get expensive when they are not repairable. Nothing illegal about planting pipe trees in your own yard.

First get some help with your neighbors in watching. It might take a remote camera to get these guys in the act. Then get everyone involved to approach the sherriff about running his job or let him deputize the neighborhood so what ever action is taken is legal. There will be another election coming up.I voted for him but the actions you state don't fit him.

Keep your friends close, but keep your enemies even closer. You have the upper hand because they are stupid and you are smart. Use your brain to figure out how to solve this. Dont move unless the problems become life threatning. Like feb says. When you hit them where they live (billfold), they buckle over and cry like children. I can tell you how to set up a survellance camera, lay down some stuff like feb was suggesting or you can devise some good stuff on your own. Never get mad, just get even.
