Had one experience with them... local, small operation but very nice folks and seemed to be very competent. I'd go there in an emergency if I had to. I'd rather be at Johns Hopkins of course.... :-)

I also had an experience with them. wife had to carry me last may at 3:30 a.m. for pain in my stomach. we didn't get a bill within the first month so she called to ask about it. she was told we would get a bill, but never did. she called several more times and was told the same each time. after about 6 months we got a letter from a lawyer in montgomery threatening to sue us for not paying. the hospital claimed to have sent us a bill twice each month. a bunch of hard feelings and a few letters later all was resolved.

The Lake Martin Community Hospital is a fine facility that is staffed with excellent medical personnel. It has been under new management for a couple of years. The new managers have recently become the new owners. They may have had a billing glitch as reported by ultralitereel but the medical care is outstanding. I know this from experience, mine and others.

In reading ultralitereel's first response to your question I now understand where he is ultralite. His second response should have been his only response.
