3 Police Officers were shot to death attempting to serve a warrant on a house in Birmingham today. We don't know what the info regarding the call/serve was about, but I'm sure it's the typical gang/drug related thing. As of now, the only deaths were the officers. no excuse for this, none.

Just have to share, this has really got me down and angry.

TIVO, I feel the same, my son is a Police Officer in Atlanta Ga. He has a very dangerous position with the Dept. He and his personal serve high risk warrants, the same as the Officers in Al. Does it almost everyday,some times things go bad. His Mom and myself hit knees every night .

My wife was a block away on Ensley Ave. (traveling to her parent’s house) as it happened and the back-up officers responded. Now I know why she always locks the car doors and will never let me stop for "cheep" gas at the corner station. It's a shame we have such low morals in some sections of our society.

Our hearts and prayers go out to the families of the three officers who gave their lives trying to protect the values of the majority.

Then God bless your son. He is doing something that take courage, principle and dedication. He has truly one of the toughest jobs in the world. Atlanta is just like any northeastern city. May he make a difference! You raised a fine person.

But I heard on the tube that they were serving a misdemeanor warrant. So sad. The really sad thing is that the perps survived.
