didnt go by this weekend...but..last time, there were the correct two red and one green on each side of the bridge...but the green lites were opposed instead of offset....so could lead to a collision if no one was paying attention at nite..

They would sure confuse me. Should be "red right return" up the channel.

When I was in the Coast Guard, the "Red Right Returning" rule only applied to navigable waterways leading to/from the ocean. I don't think that it applies here. Since LM is not 'navigable' (with the ability to lock out to the sea) and is not under Corps of Engineer jurisdiction, none of the standard marking rules apply.

The Kowaliga bridge has red lights everywhere but the center (highest) span) where there is a green light.

Bridge marker lights are different than navigable channel or river waters as a couple of folks have noted and the ones on both bridges in that area are the correct way. It's a good subject to strike up though if for no other reason than to alert some people to the way things are supposed to be. Have you noticed the danger bouy just south of the bridge and how much further out it is than it used to be? Looks like the anchoring device has moved as it is more out in the middle of the channel.
