Long Time No See! .
There's a knock at the front door. A man opens it and looks down to find a snail sitting on the stoop. He picks up the little critter and throws it as far as he can.
Three years later, there's a knock. The man opens the door, looks down and there sits the same snail.
The snail looks up and says, " What on earth was that about !?"

to packing the car, driving 2 hours, unpacking the car. Herding up the kids, shuffling them past the gas tanks, generator, and down the dock to the boat. Opening the door, taking a good wiff of the fresh stale air. Cranking the generator and waiting for the fridge to cool down so I can unpack the cooler.
listening to the rap music from my neighbor
plugging the holes that appear overnight in the bottom of the boat
fixing the roof where those perfectly round metorites keep coming through
and taking a shat in a plastic bag so I can send the hubbie to the, well, hmmm, i'm just not sure were he takes that stuff. It's great when we just have to weeee, we just do it in the kitchen sink so it flows out into the lake.
ahhh, weekends over, don't know why people down here are so unfriendly, oh well, cars packed up, sending the hubbie with the last of the plastic bags of shat to whereever he takes them.
one we are in the vega, I tell the family to take their ear plugs out.

You forgot the part about we all go swimming on the marina side after it closes because we didn't want to swim where hubby threw the bags. And my dad/uncle pulled us all behind his pontoon boat with no mirror or spotter at dusk dark.

1. I love the smell of stale houseboat air punctuated by closed up head perfume.
2. Plastic bag? Don't you have a cuisinart on your boat?
3. Rap? Don't you know why god made guns?
4. You need a nice set of different size machine screws.
5. Forget the roof. It does what it wants
You are truly one of the houseboat pilgrims....

I see the issue you have with the house boats and I do remember when they were an eyesore at the river bridge. I just have a quick question though, is the sunk house boat still there?
I'm glad I don't have to listen to all the noise and such because I'm not sure I could show the restraint that you folks down there do.....
