After 4 years of weekends at the lake, I've moved up here permanently. My welcome wagon is the strobe light in the lighthouse at Harbor Point, that scans Blue Creek every 4.5 seconds from dusk to dawn. Is it just me, or has it bothered anybody else?

You have my sympathy! We bought a place far from the marina noise & traffic, on a steep slope for privacy, in a small no-wake slough to avoid PWC's and wakeboarders. Alas, one of our neighbors has a great new sound system and blasts the slough with Southern Baptist (no religious scorn intended) revival preaching and music.

You heathern sinner! Actually I like listening to the gospel hour in Sunday morning - I forget the station in Jackon's gap 97.5 now I think - but alas they don't do it anymore - I woke up the house with it but not the neighborhood. Yes, we need a few ordinances......

The lighthouse can't hold a candle to Buster and his Off Shore race boat. I bet he can even rattle the dishes on the steep slopes of a no wake slough!
