I am amazed that the cost of gas at most all Alexander City gas stations are 9 to 10 cents above what I pay here in B'ham. While I have not reduced my weekend use of the lake, I fill up before leaving home and buy no gas at the lake. A few cents difference is one thing, a dime difference is an insult.

I think the pricing of gas has become very sophisticated. I see satellite dishes on a lot of stations and have been told that pricing is updated daily based on competition, consumption rates, inventory at the station and who knows what else. I have seen as much as a $.20 spread from Atlanta.

Do we have a gas-man on the forum?

Nothing good is going to come from this spat you two have going. Why don't you end it? Anything in good humor is entertaining and fun for all but neither of you are being funny.

Lakeman, this moron started this SPAT as you call it, all I did was get a few dates wrong on the APC leases, and he gives me a rash of crap. He is the one in error.

Two things.... Never argue with an idiot, bystanders may not be able to tell you apart, and second, argueing on the internet is like winning in the special olympics, even if you win, you are still retarded!!

Yes he did Jim and you're a better man than he is. He seems to want to attack anything that's said. Reminds me of the idiot that used to attack Feb all the time.

Love that reply. I tried a serious reply with these one of these persons?? the other day and got the same BS. Guess anonymity unleashes a need to exhibit stupidity.

In Alex city and all other small towns in this part of the world---Walmart sets the price and those stores that need business try to match it. The majors just want everyone else to get out of the business so they can continue to raise the prices. My suggestion--support the lowest price always. If the guy with the low price goes out of business we are all screwed.

That "idiot' is still around. And even with my 'sometimers disease' I still remember the racists statements made by you, JIM, and feb. You guys managed to run off a whole host of folks from the forum by constantly harrassing folks with good intentions that used the forum as a sounding board for ideas and to pass on information gained from years of lake living. I am sure that some of the others are still lurking around also. I still pop in from time to time and catch up on the forum. I was just lucky enouh to hit today when I was being talked about. But from reading just the last few days posts I see that not much has changed except the names.

This is just too good to be true. Now I wonder how you figured you were being talked about. No names were mentioned. I still know your name and where you live and I have had to be in your neighborhood on occassion. It doesn't surprise me that you popped up and that you haven't changed since a bad seed never produces anything good. As for being a racist I vaguely remember our conversation that day at your place and you definitly displayed bigot tendences.

Sorry I asked such a simple question. I thought retirement and the free time it afforded would be a good thing. Now after seeing how and what retirement creates in people, i'll just keep working.
