Has anyone been to the Pub in Eclectic? Some friends of ours found it last weekend. They said it was a hole-in-tha-wall, but the best steak they had ever eatin'. They also said it wasn't busy. I just wondered if anyone else had tried it, and WHY (if it was so good) was it not busy on a Saturday night?

If the steak is the best your friends have ever had, they have lead a sheltered life. Don't get me wrong, it's good.....but it's not high-end dining.

That being said, The Pub has good food at a reasonable price and I would recommend eating there. I like the catfish strips on catfish night (and I don't usually eat catfish).

I don't know about the Pub in Eclectic, but right now I'm in Dublin, Ireland, and there are a bunch of Pubs right outside my hotel...and they all have pretty good steaks. No "col' beer", but plenty of it! I was always a "bud man", but turnin into a Guiness Guy. When I get back to the lake, there will be no need for coolers anymore!!

THe Pub is run by Joey who used to own and run the old Boathouse Longe at the old Castaway..

usually has live music and always good food..
