Check these fishing lights out. I saw three of these installed near a dock on the way to Chucks marina, they were on your right as you went to Chucks from the west. Does anyone know anything about these lights or if they work well? They look great.

I have one myself. They work great. You will be amazed at the size of some of the fish you see. The only problem, if it is a problem, is people fishing them. I bought mine from " Underwater Adventure " out of Texas. Easy to install yourself.

Wow! That's pretty sharp! I will have to get some of those myself (that is, if Dennis leaves me anything to come back to).
As for people fishing from them.....what's the problem with that? I'd love to have some input on this because I have heard from other fishermen that people will turn off their dock lights when fishermen pull up to fish their docks. This has never happened to me and I'm curious as to why someone would go to such great lengths to stop someone from fishing.
Trying to understand them all.....BTW, I put out new Christmas trees every year in front of my place and rarely get a chance to fish but have knowledge of others loadn' the boat at my place. More power to 'em!

This year I put out approx. 200 trees at my place and around the lake. I normaly put out 50-75 trees every year for bass fishing. I bait my pier. People know this and fish my pier. It's one thing to fish and go on but it's a funny feeling to have someone anchor out in front of your house while you're trying to go to bed.

Wow, that sounds great. My 16 year old fishes all the time at lake martin but doesn't catch much. He catches lots in Georgia. I keep wondering it lake martin is over fished with all the trout lines, jug fishing and noodle fishing I see. We are over in Sandy Springs area near Dadeville. Maybe I should send him to your dock. (-:

I guess this is the info I need. Just what do they do when they "anchor" in front of your dock while you're trying to go to bed? Play loud music? Just curious....inconsiderate fishermen should be treated as such. We just fish a few minutes and move on. Always considerate of our proximity to others. Maybe we are in the minority.

Have a neighbor who has fed the catfish everyday for last 10 or so years, so his grandchildren when visiting can easily catch the fish.

A neighbor of his several weeks ago pulls up in his boat with a friend, anchors 15 feet from my neigbors pier and proceeds to catch between 75 or so catfish over a 2+ hour timeframe.

I understand the lake is not owned by the property owners, but come on, how rude can you be to anchor 15 feet from a neighbors pier for 2+ hours and catch all his fish.

Now after 10 years of the grandchildren catching fish every afternoon they visited, last weekend tried for 2 hours and did not even get a bite.

There is a link on the message to a web site. I just did a google search on "green fishing light", I think. Also, we were at Chuck's on Sat. and there were some flyers for a different company that sells them. That company is Underwater Advantage at www.underwateradvantage.com and they have a phone number listed in Wetumpka, 334-567-5892 or 334-590-0196. Doesn't seem to be much difference in the products from the two web sites. Price is similar.

I understand what you are saying. It happens to me. If you fish and move on there's no problem. But to anchor just in front of someones pier is kind of brass.
