A friend of mine said that he picked up a form from Real Island Marina for a Poker Run July 30th to be on lake martin. Proceeds going to the Lions Club. Have you guys heard of this? And, who is planning to attend? Any info would be appreciated.

I think you understand but it has nothing to do with loud boats. You could do it in a canoe. It is not a race. It is just whoever has the best hand of cards at the end. Buy the way CAT BOAT, i think Russel is putting it on. I will let you know. You need to talk to Sleek.

I imagined it being somewhat of a poker game on wheels,...
I know how men act at a poker game,... hootin' and hallerin' , downing all the beer within arms reach, slaping money on the table like you really have a good hand, Uh huh,...... I know! I know!
And I could just imagine the same sorta thing going on from a boat.
Grab a card from one place, RACE for a better one at the next stop.

I JUST RECEIVED THE LETTER ABOUT THE POKER RUN . $100.00 to enter and 1st will pay $1200.00 2nd pays $600.00 and the worst hand pays $500.00 I will be there . GATES you and CAT and SHOE FLY need to be there.CAT BOAT that was awesome,kinda makes my 70mph boat
seem slow.

If we're not on the lake having a blast, I play "Bunko" with 11 of the funnest girls I know. We're not like some groups around that play with gifts that someone buys and eats finger foods. WE play for money, have crawfish or a shrimp boil and drink beer (or Pink Pantie Pulldowns) until it's all gone. We play Bunko once a month, at differant ones houses.
We have a GREAT group.

Thanks for the invite CAT BOAT but since Real Island (I think) will be one of the stops, I will just pull up a chair (on the deck) and watch all the fun!
If I had an idea about what time the "Real Island stop" would be, I'd sit out in front for a closer look! Sounds like fun, but cards have never been my game.

Bunko IS a lot fun,..... we only invite the men once a year,..... they have a blast too. On couples night, we usually get a keg to go with our shrimp boil! One day soon we plan on having our group to the lake,....if you hear someone yell "BUNKO",.... you'll know what it is! ;-)

The Lions Charity Lake Martin Poker Run is set for July 30 starting at The Ridge Marina and ending with an awards party at Sinclairs . There will be door prizes for all participants and a special prize for the best crew . The cost to enter the benefit run is $100 with all proceeds going to the Alexander City Lions Club benefiting Lake Martin charities . The winning hand will win $1200 , second best hand $600 , and the worst hand $500 . Scheduled stops are The Ridge Marina , River North Marina , Blue Creek Marina , Real Island Marina nd Kowaliga Marina . Registration forms are available at the marinas .

No, we're a little further down Little Kowlagia. We're actually in an area called (at one time) Castleberry Est. Our "shack" will be coming down mid Sept. and we're gonna rebuild.

It is white, with purple and yellow. I think the white one with wine is a fountain 27. Mine is Cat hull. Sprays a big rooster tail. The name on it says "Bling It On".

I've seen it. I think I've seen it pass the shack a couple of times, but I think where I saw it close up was at the rock tied to a bunch more big boats?

Registration is from 8am to 11am at The Ridge Marina . Some of the faster boats will be leaving The Ridge going to River North Marina at 10am
