All of us who post on this forum love Lake Martin. Let's all join the volunteers for the clean up. It starts at 8 AM and runs until noon on Saturday. All that we need to know is listed in the News section that is shown on the home page.

We can all get home in time to watch football on the tube or play on the lake.

make everyday Lake Martin Clean-Up day, not just one day per year.

Not directed towards anyone in particular, just something to think about.

You have nailed it. It's a good idea to keep a small supply of trash bags on the boat. When we see trash we should be eager to pick it up every time that we are playing on the lake.

The barge operated by Alabama Power Company was out on the lake yesterday and retrieved a washing machine, a refrigerator, and many other types of trash that most of us thought wasn't in our lake. They also found two sunken boats north of Woods Island that were silted into the shoreline. The barge couldn't get them out. Next year they will return with many more helpers to shovel out the insides of the boats and shovel around the hull. If anybody sees large items please make sure to communicate the location to Alabama Power or to one of the lake clean up committee members.

See y'all tomorrow morning.
