To bad LSU beat ARK. would have loved to see the DAWGS get another shot at the TURKEY BUZZARDS.

Let's see===== "They" are the winners and "em" are the losers!!!!!!!!!!!! Hope that answers the question. Maybe, Jim has a better answer for Jaw cause I am GoneFishin.

I think what what Drewskii meant was, the BUZZARDS would pick the DAWGS apart (most Auburn fans are hard to decifer). But the facts are the DAWGS will play in the SEC CHAMPIONSHIP game, while the TURKEY BUZZARDS watch. Swallow that TURKEY BUZZARD fan.

JIm, you are thinking WAY too much. Have you forgotten so soon that Auburn BEAT Georgia this year? What makes you think they wouldn't/couldn't do it again if given the opportunity? Don't go around being braggadocios. It may come back to bite you like it did when you made the earlier "Go Dawgs" comments on this forum before the Auburn/UGA game. Karma, you know.

But good luck to the Dawgs against LSU. I am not really interested now. (But since we beat UGA and NOT LSU, then it might behoove me to pull for UGA over LSU, to make us look better, you know.) I know you will make a comment on that statement.....

Turkey Buzzards would pick them Dawgs apart. Just like they do on the side of the road. Everyone knows that Dogs like to sleep at home and usually die on the road. Where are they playing next week?

Jaw...do you not remember that the Dawgs beat LSU a couple of years ago and LSU came back and beat UGA in the SEC championship game. I think UGA would beat Auburn like they owned them.

Yes, I remember that.

But it's also true teams go on to beat their opponets twice in a given year. UGA hasn't look that great here toward the end of the season....losing the last 2 out of three games....and Tech was there to play ball with them Saturday.

It's hard to say what would really happen. Moot point. It's pure emotional responses here.

AMEN , Maddog. You Auburn die hards sit and watch the SEC Game. I think that Ga. just beat Ga. Tech, that was one in the lost colum for the BUZZARDS.

I think the Dawgs lost 2 of the last 4 games. I think UGA will beat LSU and would beat Auburn if the Hawgs had beaten LSU. I know alot of us Dawgs were pulling for the Hawgs so we could get our hands on Auburn again. But like the man said on another post....we ARE going to the championship dance and Auburn is staying home again.

In 2003, LSU and UGA played in the regular season and in the Championship game. LSU won both: 17-10 the first time, and 34-13 in the rematch. (No wonder Georgia fans have delusions of grandeur; they just wait a year or so, and change losses into wins, and believe it, even "remember" it!)

This is the sixth time that the Championship game features a re-match from the regular season; four of the previous five, the same team won BOTH games. (Alabama over Florida in 1999, Florida over Auburn in 2000, LSU over Georgia in 2003, and Auburn over Tennessee in 2004.) In 2001, LSU lost to Tennessee in the regular season, but won in the Chanpionship game.

You can think whatever you like. But the fact remains - Auburn beat Georgia in 2005, and the 2 teams will not play again until next season. Therefore, Auburn is better than Georgia this season. End of discussion.

Go ahead and spew off about being in the championship game. UGA is VERY lucky that Florida lost to an undermanned South Carolina team. And even if UGA wins against LSU, Auburn's SEC record will be better than Georgia's. Just be glad that the 3 best teams in the conference are all in the same division (the west).

And the BUZZARDS are not the best in the WEST, but set and watch the best in the East play.the loser to LSU and Ga Tech. THE TURKEY BUZZARDS.

So Jim who do you pull for?

Not many people are willing to stand up and admit that they are 100% UN-AMERICAN in this day and age, but JIM certainly isn't afraid to let everyone know how he feels.

Being un-American is the only excuse I can think of for someone to constantly and consistently degrade the symbol of our country, the most patriotic animal we have, by referring to it as a "turkey buzzard."

Maybe if JIM had been man enough to serve our country in its time of need, rather than turning his back on us, he would have more respect for our national symbol. But he chose the cowardly way out, though now we see that his cowardliness was really just masking his disdain for America.

Of course, given JIM's other shortcomings, his un-patriotic, un-American ways come as no surprise. And at least those, while distasteful, aren't illegal, like so many of his other vices.

This was a really great thread until this post. I enjoyed everyones views on their favorite teams and how they think things would turn out, very light hearted. By the way Auburn's eagle is a Golden Eagle. Have some fun.

Tiger, the older bird, is a Golden Eagle. Spirit, the younger bird who did several fly-bys while Tiger was sick, is a Bald Eagle, I think.

Best I recall I got my DD-214 packed away along with my Honorable Discharge. Spent a little time in NAM back in the early sixties, seen a rice patty or two. How about you Longtimer?

But which came first?

Let's see, it makes more sense this way on the Glory, Glory song:

Glory, glory to 'ole Auburn,
Glory, glory to 'ole Auburn,
Glory, glory to 'ole Auburn,

A-U-B-U-R-N

not:

Glory, glory to 'ole Georgia,
Glory, glory to 'ole Georgia,
Glory, glory to 'ole Georgia,

GE - O-R-G-I-A

Gotta get two letters in one beat. Georgia musta tried to copy Auburn and couldn't quite get it right without squinching those letters together.

Auburn's version came first. In addition, several years back, they decided to duplicate our Tiger Walk.

Ready to stir that pudding. Any low down piece of dog squeeze that would question my military tours of duty, needs to put his on the table, unless he has none.

Two Purple Hearts, Bronze Star, Air Medal with Silver Oak Leaf Cluster and 3 Bronze clusters, Korea Service Medal, United Nations Service Medal (Korea), Korean War Service Medal, Combat Service Commerative Medal, Korean Presidential Unit Citation, Air Force Commendation Medal.

Of course, this was Korea, not Vietnam; by the time that one kicked off, I was getting a little long in the tooth. Besides, I had done my duty; it was time for you slackers to make yourselves useful. Did you get stoned every day, or did you take Sundays off to get rip-roaring drunk?

The difference between our situations is evident: obviously, many Vietnam vets came home bearing some strong anti-American sentiment, and you seem to be one of them. Your feelings about the eagle are well-documented; can we assume that you use American Flag toilet paper, too?

Yes. Thank you Sir. But why mix football BS with War and American loyalty and serious matter such as that? Fotball is nothing more than an Amercian game that people have fun with.
