Twas the day before christmas and all across the lake not a boat was steering no even a wake. The pontoon boats were nesseled in the boathouse with care, In hope that spring time, would soon be there. The islands were vacant no guys no lass only thing visable was J Rs a$$ Then out of the blue with a roar and a blast came CAT BOAT a runing LOUDand FAST He checked out the ROCK But no one was there He went to LONGNECK ISLAND It too was bare No volley ball no friends were anywhere to be found across his face came a long long frown Then he remembered all the good friends @ thelake he had met And laughfed out loud cause his was still the faster boat yet As he throttled up and headed into the sunset you could hear him a screaming MERRY CHRISTMAS TO ALL AND TO ALL GET WET

All these poets writing about CAT BOAT is getting me worried. Maybe I should try to write a poem, and leave the singing alone.

Roswellric and CATBOAT - I just brought out supressed talents....just waiting...lying dormant all these many months.....That's what a good teacher does. LOL.

Now, Jim, why do you have and go and spoil things? Can you not find the good in bad situations? Are you an angry person? Are you constantly critical of your spouse, children, and others - like you are with the LM board members? Or are you sarcastic and this is all just a big joke to you? Do you not let people get close to you? Why are you so negative?

I jokingly give a compliment, and you have to turn it around into something negative. Jim, I know you have little(and you are probably thinking - little? NONE AT ALL) respect for my views, but I hope Christmas is good to you this year. jawjagal

Okay,..... after I figure out what I am getting my husband for Christmas-yes, I have one more day-I too will try to make the grade in the class.
Right now though, can I PLEASE turn my paper in late???

And any idea for a Christmas gift would be much appreciated.
I first thought of a fire pit for the lake, there are NONE to be found in the Montgomery/Prattville area.
Then, I thought of a new propane grill. He's planning on using the two charcoal grills we bought last year.
We are rebuilding, just finished the frameing, so I know there is SOMETHING but right now my brain in fried,......and I haven't had the first
pink pantie pulldown! (maybe that's the trouble?)
I know we don't need anything for the boat, it's new.
Help?

I am kind of fond of my Webber propane grill, but I will always keep the Webber charcoal kettle for steaks, burgers and ribs cooked the indirect heat method. There are bigger and more expensive propane grill, but I do not think you will miss the boat with a Webber.

Now Jim, just because your teachers failed miserably in their attempts to make you a valuable and functional member of society doesn't mean that all teachers are bad. In fact, given what your teachers had to work with, I'd say they did an outstanding job. You can't polish a turd, but you have to give them credit for trying.

"You can't polish a turd">>> My side is hurting. LOL. Speaking of JIM, you have to admit, his post are entertaining. His comments remind me of Fred Sanford character. Sometimes I wonder where he comes up with the wit. Sometimes he sounds like a punk smart @ss kid, and I like the attitude.

Yes, Jim is entertaining. I just so wanted him to try to see the glass half full and not half empty. Jim is Jim. I will just have to accept that.

Now here comes the biggest set up for jokes about me NEXT on this thread:

I was a cheerleader in high school and college. Does it still show? (yes) Constantly trying to encourage and promote the positive.

Sorry, guys. And I was in a sorority. Rah, rah. Here come the jokes.....

You get the mental picture:

Think about it -blonde, dumb (about Sugar Bowl matters - constantly saying VT and not WV, yadda, yadda), cheerleader, Southern, etc.

Stereotypical? Probably.

ROSWELLRIC - you never answered my question to you....are you from Atlanta originally?
If so, what high school did you attend?
