I know for a fact that Courtney Cox did NOT buy on Lake Martin. It was rumored a year or two that they bought Scrushy's (sp?) house.
My aunt is a beautician in Montgomery, and does a lady who is Courtney Cox's mothers best friend. Courtney comes to Montgomery a good bit though. Never know, one day maybe-but so far has not.

Such rumors have been going around for years. BTW, I heard that Bill Gates is looking to buy out Russell Lands.

CC is from Mountain Brook, and she has not bought a place on the lake-- yet. There has been some talk, but so far it's just talk, nothing concrete.
P.S.-- 25 years ago, she would have bought in a heartbeat, had she been in a position to. But the "get away from it all" factor is not as strong here as it used to be, and that's something she and David really desire.

CC is from Birmingham, but since her mothers best friend is in Montgomery, they regularly make trips to Mongomery. The mothers best friend is a "social butterfly" and throws some grand parties!
Making a trip well worth it! Nobody ever knows when CC and mom will pop in, and the host never tells!

I grew up in Conyers, Georgia. Holly Hunter is from Conyers. She was younger than me, but I knew her from church and high school. We old Conyers people still get scoop from her mother and her friends sometimes.

The first piece of equipment you and Lakeman need to buy at Wallie World to ice fish at Martin is a wetsuit. Make certain the suit has a pocket to keep spare change so you can use a pay phone to call home while you dry out. Ice fishing is fun when you set out your lines and go inside a warm cabin and watch through the window until a red flag pops up. I understand
the ice is always thicker on Martin on New Year's eve after you have celebrated bringing in the New Year. Cheers and best wishes for a great 2006!!!!!!!!!
