Billed as the greatest college championship game and it lived up to the hype. I am a Texas alum and am very happy. Hook'em Horns

Great Game and no surprise to me. Not quite as exciting as the Ohio State vs. Miami game a few years ago, but still a thriller!

The only way to have truly determined the greatest team would have been to turn off the clock and let them battle to the end. What a spectacular display of two true champions. This game was a rare and cherished event.

this game was infinitely better. Actually had some quarterbacking skills displayed in this game..... unlike 1981.

RR,

I have to agree with you. For all the post game hype about the best college game ever played, I say baloney. Sure, it was a fun game to watch, but , fwiw, I saw two polished offenses playing against two overrated, very mediocre defenses. Being from Pittsburgh, I enjoy tough, gritty defenses causing havoc and disrupting big time offenses. Old school I guess, but this game left me wondering if either school hired a defensive coordinator.

They have more DUI's than quality wins this year.

'Georgia linebacker Dannell Ellerbe, 20, was arrested on DUI, underage possession of alcohol, theft by taking and giving false information to police, according to the Athens-Clarke County Sheriff's Department.

Ellerbe's arrest is the latest in a series of alcohol-related problems at Georgia. Earlier this season Antonio Sims, a freshman defensive back, was arrested for DUI. He admitted his error to Georgia coach Mark Richt and was suspended for one game. Former linebacker Derrick White was also arrested for DUI in the 2005 offseason. White, who had been disciplined previously for a bar fight, was kicked off the team.'

I guess DUI is okay if your not a Mormon? Or if you a Georgia player or fan?
All I see is a bunch of punks over there. Win one BCS game and sell jersey and rings. Underage drinking, and driving. I'm sure the trouble runs a whole lot deeper if this is what we are seeing. They ought to clean things up and get a respectable program.
Then again, maybe one 25 year old championship makes up for it all.

No, I worked for the Engineering Firm that designed and constructed it. I despise Ga. Tech. Read the post BLONDIE as Dagwood would say.

Now Jim, you know that being the "sanitation engineer" in charge of emptying the Port-O-Lets is not the same thing as being a real engineer, right?

Why, yes, dumb me, Jim. I gave you WAY too much credit. You see, my son the IT major, was HIRED AS A FRESHMAN to work in his school's IT department (he took the CISCO Systems Academy in high school and is now just a Sophomore in college.) I thought you might have been a student working co-op, as Tech students can do (or did you even know that?), or that you were way ahead in your studies and a standout at Tech. Silly me. What was I thinking? I should have put myself in your narrow point of view when you made that statement.
Please forgive.

Thanks, Lakeman. I shouldn't have responded to Jim's remark...but when one gets attacked REPEATEDLY...grrrrrr!

I shouldn't have gotten sucked in. I know better. People who do this on other message boards are called trolls. And I KNOW to keep away from those guys.

A person that empties port -o -potties is a better man than I am, My hats off to them, don`t be to quick to down grade people that are not as fortunate as you. FYI, have used them but never emptied one. What about you? Would have more respect if that is your job?
