Ya’ll will never guess what I saw this morning! Worse than 10 jet skis circling continuously, a 30-foot cruiser at just above idle speed, or an Off Shore Power boat running 60+ MPH. There was shore eroding, and pier slamming waves. The sound of the neighbors’ pontoon boat hitting the pier was horrifying. I thought to myself the sea wall will surely be destroyed. I ran from the house in terror to find no jet skis, no big fast boats, and the lake looked like the ocean. However, much to my amazement the wind was blowing 15 to 20 creating all of this havoc. What to do, what to do?

I think that was Lakefun not Lakeman. He has had a few 12 oz. curls(exersing of course), but he is rather humorious. Hope you are recovering now from the rolling on the floor. Hope you are feeling better and can make it Saturday. I have had the shingles and I know how you are feeling.

Are you NUTS? Ban the wind? If you ban wind, you would also have to ban weather patterns and rain; then we would lose all trees and vegetation; I like my trees, Lakefun. …... without trees, we would all live on a big red clay platter! Do you want to live on a clay platter Lakefun…well do ya? How fun would that be. Any superior thinker would obviously know that the solution to all problems is to ban the water in Lake Martin. Just let it all out! We could trade in our boats for 4-wheelers , dirt bikes, and monster trucks to drive in the lake bed. Fun would be had by all, and our sea walls and docks would be safe. Any resonable man with respect for his dock will certainly understand that this is the right thing to do; the only thing to do!

News flash!!!!!!!! This just in. There will be no more wind. All fans are banned from the lake. Anyone caught making wind on or near the lake will be prosecuted. Wind strong enough to make a 1" ripple will not be tolerated. Marine Police will now be put on wind patroll. Citizens will serve on " wind duty " and a lottery will be set up to choose who and when they will serve. Anyone caught " breaking wind " will be immediately incarserated with no questions asked. Anyone having any questions about " wind " can call the state help line on Wind.

Sound good BoatsRFun - Lets start a nudist colony on Longneck Island.

Could you picture nude Volleyball on Longneck Island - Would that not be a sad site . (A least for me, maybe not others, LOL)

Even better -CAT singing RAP in the nude. Thought Rap alone was bad, now it even got worse. (sorry CAT)

LMAO

I went out in these waves, and trust me I would never do it in my previous boat (23' Wellcraft Cuddy Cabin). Yes, it appears that 15-20 wind creates waves larger than the 4th of July hurry to get home...?

One question, I am new to this forum. Where is longneck island?
