Get the picture. I'm sitting on my dock Friday evening, after dark. A boat enters Chuck's slough doing about 40 MPH. Lights off, lights on, lights off, lights on. I'm thinking maybe electrical problems. As the boat gets closer I hear the music blaring and people singing at the top of their lungs. It gets better. When the boat is about 400 yards away, I notice another boat, no lights at all, running along side the other boat, no more than 10 yards away. That's right, no lightsat about 40 MPH. They buzz my dock, no more than 40 yards away. Man, they are just having a great time. Oh yeah, the boats were about 20 to 23 ft. in length. My point has nothing to do with the boat bill, only that idiots come in all sizes.

I agree with you. Most likely they aren't residents of the lake. I haven't observed any such behavior from the people who own property in my area. Or they are young or both.

How many stereotypes can you list in one post? As a young person with no lake property, I am insulted. Being young does not make you an idiot. Owning lake property does not prevent you from being an idiot. Let's try to keep the stereotyping to a minimum. Thanks.

Sorry. I was implying that most people who have been on the lake for a while know how to navigate safely at night. I shouldn't have excluded experienced people/boaters whether they own property or not. As for young people I was young once and didn't always use good judgement or make good decisions and my young people don't always use good judgement or think of the consequences of their actions. Lamont described some dangerous boating behavior.

When I read your post I didn't think it was offensive in any way. And if it is who cares unless it's a personal attack. What's up with all this being offended stuff anyway. Sounds like political correctness. There is a difference between prejudiced and bigoted. You express your prejudices it's OK with me. You probably are prejudiced against UGA anyway :-)
That's what I jokingly meant by a "skull full of mush". It takes time for a young person to get over all that junk that's being taught as secular sensitivity these days. In other words you gotta be able to take a joke!

Hard to write a sentence without offending someone. I guess I have mellowed with age. You gotta go out of your way to offend me. And yes Ros, I am bigoted when it comes to your Dawgs. Nothing personal, just something about growing up in Atlanta and attending Auburn. One could say I am a glutton for punishment for still living here.

is correct but, we were the Vikings, not the Purple Knights. Creel came in my junior year. We won the state the next year. Never really liked his style.
The name of the recruit was Melvin Dorsey. Long after my time. Think he went on to play at Georgia Tech.
