I have Cingular and don't have a problem with service. Works great for me everywhere that I have been or need to go.

Has anyone used Cingular in the Stillwaters? I have T-Mobile and it works everywhere around the lake (that I have tried) except parts of the Stillwaters???

Neither worked for me on the Parker Creek (North Western) section of Lake. I now use Verizon and it will work on an out doors call in that section. My Cingular experience was three years ago. Sprint was as of two years ago. The closest I could get Sprint was approx. the intersections of 259 and 20 east, and even that required roaming charges. Both Cingular and Sprint claimed they would work.

I had cingular 4 years ago and went to t-mobile because it worked in more places around the lake and from b'ham to the lake.
two years ago cingular called and wanted to know if i was happy with t-mobile, which i wasn't because of problems while traveling and their customer service.
cingular said they had increased coverage and i went with them. it was ok around the lake but not great. i have been gone for about six months and returned a month ago. in that month i have driven from willow point to the cove via alex city and via martin dam and carried on conversations all of the time.

i think that pretty much cover most of the lake except the coosa county part.

I have never had a problem with a land line. I have a D`ick Tracy watch phone for emergencies only, cost about 11 bucks a month. Da`m cant even say D`ick Tracy without the FBI threat. D`ick Tracey Comic books was out when I was a kid.

JIM, Many of us have found that the improper use of "Dock" vs. "Dick" allows us to pursue posting on the Forum without FBI intervention. "Dock" is the new code word.

There are exceptions. Some of us, not me, have super powers such as Lakeman. Their undisclosed powers in the use of words and terminology , as proven here, allows them to exert their powers whenever and wherever. I have heard that even in the fish world, crappie and spotted bass, respect his unique powers. They willfully surrender and know he is a catch and release super power.

I use Cingular Gait phones for all my long distance at the lake and have no problems. My daughter just visited and used a GSM Cingular and she had good reception. Another daughter uses T-mobile and it works well around the lake. Forget Sprint, and Nextel is bad in a lot of places (The Ridge), I think that Cingular uses T-mobile's towers around the lake, because the signal is identical between Cingular and T-mobile at my house.

Through the wisdom of Solomon he knew who the real mother was in her willingness to give up her child so that it may live. We also can show our grace by humbling ourselves so that others can be lifted up, then and only then can our powers be known. Peace to all. Hello!
