There was a Mexican named Jose who went to Yankee Stadium some years ago to see the Yanks play the Red Sox. Being a construction worker, he climbed the flag pole in center field to watch the game. When he arrived back home after the game his mom asked him how he enjoyed the game. Jose said everyone was real nice. Before the game they all stood up and looked at me sitting at the top of the flag pole. They were really concerned cause they all said “Jose can you see”!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The "Jose Jiminez" character was done by Bill Dana.
That was some funny stuff, though the overall mocking tone would most likely be considered "not PC enough" for today's audience. The again, it was mild compared to most of what you find on cable comedy stations these days!

I've got a birthday coming up. Don't mind saying I'm gonna be 53. So, yes, I saw it live on Ed Sullivan.
Now here's something really weird. I started teaching in the LATE 1970's. So, I have taught school, not consecutively, in the 70's, the 80's, 90's and now the oughts. In 4 decades!
That is even mind boggling to me. I mean, now that it's 2006, I could even teach in the teens! That would be 5 decades I have taught in. But who would want to?
