Someone reference splitting lots for resale in a earlier post. I was under the impression that most lots could not be split and resold. I was told that there could only be one structure with one kitchen as part of the restrictions. Any POV's out there?

there are covenants in the subdivisions which are rare for older developments You know - what ever I do on my property is my biz.....

The Ala. Power lots that were sold to the leasors back in the 90's do have restrictions to never be divided. Don't know about other property not owned by Ala. Power, etc.

That may have been me. We bought a non-APC/non-Russell Lands lot last year and split it into 3 lots. The only restriction we had was that we had to assure that a septic system could be used - either for each lot or design a community system for all three. We had a system designed and approved for each lot and there were no problems - it took a while for the process to work it's way through, but no problems with approval.
