In honor of those that made the ultimate sacrifice I have once again hung a flag on the one tree island between Madwind and Manoy Creeks. I started this in '01 just on a fluke and since then it has grown into a 'tradition' that the whole neighborhood looks forward to on Memorial Day weekend. May she fly over a free America again this summer.

To the families of those that gave all for my freedom, THANK YOU!

Bravo.... wish I had known of the tradition, would have loved to layed off the island while you raised her up. Also, liked you post... purely recognizing the past sacrifice without tainting it with current issues. What time next year will your tradition continue?!

There is no absolute time.... just sometime over the Memeorial day weekend. But sometimes is altered for guests. Three years ago we did it a couple of weeks early due to company from Minnesotta that wanted to participate.

Next year I will put a post up so you will know. In the meantime just ride by, salute, and pray for our troops.
