Hey Family Members. I have just driven thru a lot of heavy rain and bad traffic to get to the Lake. I felt like my gut was twisted beyond belief. I got here safely which equates to a good trip. Within ten minutes of setting on my dock and my Brother's dock on the Lake it is all Heaven again. Fourteen hours vs.ten minutes is worth it all.

You Gentlemen are more than welcome. I have three spare bedrooms you can stay in my Northern VA home. I hope to have that many available within a years time in my new Lake Martin Lake House.
Hey Cat, This is a hard trip. I have to depart on Thursday morning to go back the way I came. I will meet with the builder tomorrow, sign the big check, and see my Brother on Wednesday afternoon and evening .
It all really sucks right now, but I am an optimistic. I want so bad to meet with you Maverick, Lakeman, Keith, and so many others of the Forum even to include Bigfoot ( Hey Man You are someone I really like.).
I know my welcomes are running out, but I am trying to make things better. Lamar

I am rather overwhelmed with all of you and the hospitality. I will meander back toward The State for Lovers on Thursday morning. I have the ball rolling on the new Lake House. I will be down many more times. The next trip and hopefully longer stay will be in about a month to inspect the foundation/basement.
I was rather bored driving through TN on Monday and started to listen to some weird Preacher on the radio. Here is what he said: "My Daddy told me that people are praying for you all the time and when you cut one (passing gas) that is the smell of evil departing your butt since people are praying for you." I don't know whether any of you are praying for me or not but if so please stop. There must be a lot of evil in me and my dog is complaining of being couped up in the truck with me. (LOL).
Yesterday and today have been wonderful on the Lake. I will spend some quaility time with my Brother tomorrow afternoon and evening. Thanks again especially to Keith and John for wanting to get together. It will happen I promise. Of course, I have made that promise to Lakeman far too many times.

Hi feb--thanks for the kind words. I'm glad you were finally able to get down to "heaven on earth" for a few days....hope to meet you someday--especially since you know a lot about "down home" better known as Slocomb, Dothan, etc......hope all is going well with the house and that
your trip back is a safe one and devoid of severe weather.

Feb - when you are a little more grounded back in good 'ole Alabama, let's have a party in your honor!
All of us message board users invited. Once we all meet each other, then, MAYBE, all will be right with the world. At least for FEB it will, because he will be on Lake Martin at his little slice of heaven.
