If you haven't already, do yourself a favor and try GreenFields in Alex City. It's downtown, where the farmer's market sets up on Saturdays. It's in the old Web Shoppe space. You pass it on the way to Cecils. The menu is GREAT; lots of really good sandwiches at lunch and an interesting dinner menu- try the pecan crusted pork loin. No vested interest- just want it to stay in business and pass on the info.

I tried it for lunch and ordered a sandwich. It was very good but it was definately a "girl" sandwich.....and it was slightly pricey. Won't get me back...but maybe the bridge club ????

Grernfields is good! Had lunch there recently and found it very enjoyable.

There's another new, full service restaurant that opened in A.C. just last week. The Stone Brook Inn is located where the old Western Sizzler was on Hwy 22 (just west of 280). They have remodeled the place and have a full menu of steaks, seafood, pasta, great appetizers and deserts. The food is great and worth the slightly higher prices. They have a few kinks to work out on service, but it's only their first week. If you're tired of the old Alex City fare of fast food and mexican, this one is worth trying out.

could use a few more good ones. It seems like a chain eat in and/or delivery type Pizza place could do well in Blue Creek area. Places with decent food like Oskars stay really busy 7 days a week.

Greenfield's right now has beer and wine but will serve liquor soon. Dinner only Friday and Saturday night and lunch everyday. Not sure about lunch on Sunday- probably not. There is a menu in the window if you're down that way. Very sweet folks that own it.
