Very easy to do and you can save a ton of money.
Hire bob cat to level grade for you, just make sure lake bed is solid compact dirt, otherwise the slab may crack.
Form with 1 x 6's with stacks on outside
Drop your slope from side to side 1/4 for every 4' for drainage, this is more than enough slope.
Place expansion joint every 10 feet or so
Put in rebar about 2 inches of so off the ground or you could us concrete wire (do not know what it is called)
Fill with concrete
Use a 2x4 with a person on both ends and move back and forth over the concrete along the side forms to level concrete and bring water to surface.
After concrete begins to set up broom with a broom to a texture fro traction.
Very simple process and you can save a ton of money, my neighbor and I did ours.

My son and I did ours, and a saved several thousand dollars. We did the whole thing in 3 days.

At 6" x 12' x 200' that is only 44.44 yards of concrete and at about $90 per yard delivered plus about $250 for pump truck to make your life simple, the total concrete and pump truck cost is about $4,250.00.
Then say (estimated costs)
Bob cat at $40 per house and minimum of 4 hours = $160.00
Lumber cost about 60 1 x 6 x 12 at say $4.00 a piece = $240.00
Wire mesh (Cheaper than rebar) at about $50.00 per bundle x about 12 bundles or so = $600.00
So total project cost about $5,250.00
Bet you his quote is close to $15k, want to bet?

Bet I'm cheaper than you--we'll let my wife be the judge!! I wouldn't doubt it a bit if H & C would charge $10-15K for the job. Does concrete really cost $90/yd now? I did my driveway two years ago and paid $55.00/yd for the 91 yds it took. I paid a crew of three (used to work for H & C) about $3,000 for labor--I honestly thought those guys were going to die--they were old--the temp was 95. It took six work days to form, pour, and finish the driveway. I'll tackle small concrete jobs, but not one this big. My hospital (or funeral) bill would be way more that $3K.

If your cheaper than me, your wife might want you to help do this 44.44 yd job. Based on your cheapness she would probably be glad to pay the funeral bill, as I know mine would. - LOL
The $90 is whatI heard recently, I too thought concrete was closed to around $55 to $65 per yard at least it was when we did our boat ramp about 3+ years ago, but what do I know.

I've got a new project started--boat house. Water's too deep to do it from land this winter so we might as well start now. Boy, this hurts a cheap SOB like me--I'm still going to do a lot of the work--be at it all winter.

Nothing better than a beautiful winter day working at the lake to relieve the stress after a long week at the office.
That is why I save all my projects for Oct - March. Plus if I get stressed or tired I just get in the boat for a quick cruise or sit on the dock for a while looking at paradise.

I paid $65/ yard in February, and I know it jumped to slightly over $70 in March. I don't think it's to $90 yet, but if you add some fiber , up the psi rating, and use a pump truck, you can probably get close to that figure.

Henderson and Coker quoted me $15,700 to do my driveway. Two other qutoes were 7,700 and 7,600. Needless to say H&C did'nt get the job.

Do not for get to "float" your concrete and trial the edges. Using a 2 x 4 simply fills the edeges of your forms and levels the surface.
Also, it is much easier to use rebar stakes to drive in the ground and remove when setting up your form boards.
I would also recommend using a rough broom finish below the water line. You may also consider a steel rake to establish traction lines.
If you do not kno what you are doing you can really make a mess and it is very expensive to redo. You would be able to tell a huge difference in a do it your self project and a professional job done by a crew with experience.
