Does anyone know where, in the A.C./Eclectic area, I can get day labor? Yard work, etc. It's getting to be more than I can handle in my old age. ; )

Bug:

There is a halfway house in Alex City for drug and alcohol rehab, have used them for laying grass, pressure washing, cleaning up shoireline in winter, etc. You have to call and schedule a day in advance, pick up and have back by 5:00 for dinner. Paid $6.00 per hour cash and bought them lunch.

Most have regular jobs during the week as they have to work to pay their room and board to stay at the house. House is in Alex City up by the courthouse

As I have asked around and even the locals do not know. And dont tell me the laundry mat.

The Mexicans are here, but they are holding steady employment due to the labor shortage......they do good work, but someone needs to figure out a way to make them pay their fair share in taxes.

Thanks y'all. Around B'ham it's not a problem finding folks to work, but I have had a time of it at the lake. I can't even find high school/college age guys who need extra $$. I guess things have changed since I was in school and could use extra pocket money.
