Everyone needs to be proud of what lies 60 miles East of the lake! We have the greatest Little League team in the world here in Columbus! Everyone in the area should be proud! Go Northern Little League!

And I think all were Carcasun (SP). Not like most teams are these days. Reminds me of the good ole days, Jimmy Sidle, Fran Tartkenton ,Happy Dicks,Rufen Rod Reg, etc.

By "Carcasun" I take it you mean Caucasian, and by "good ole days" you must mean those days when Americans of non-"Carcasun" persuasion were not allowed to share a lunch counter or water fountain with "Carcasuns," were required to ride in the back of the bus, were not allowed to vote (and were often murdered for pointing out that this was, in fact, illegal) and lived in fear of seeing a cross burned in their front yard.

Or maybe by "good ole days" you mean even before that, when they were bought and sold like slabs of meat.

I hope your post was nothing more than the booze talking; otherwise, the only conclusion that can be reached from your post is that you are a disgrace to the human race.

It's time to put away the sheet and join the 21st century, Jim; these days men are judged by the blackness in their hearts, not the blackness of their skin. And you seem to have a heart and soul as black as any.

Some of us can hide our true feelings under the false wraps of political correctness better than others.

Some of us have been around long enough to remember his old racist post from the past. Him and another, who I shall leave nameless at this point, used to make VERY racist posts in the past. It was amazing how blatant it was, and was only stopped after Bruce got involved.

So welcome back JIM!! I hope your stay is long and fruitful, as I like my puddin 'stirred'....lol. I mean who wants a forum where we can come share ideas, stories, plans, personal experiences, etc., when we can have good ole controversy.

Now I wonder how long before this thread dissapears......

The team did a great job and are a real class act. I was especially proud of how they behaved towards the Japan team at the end of the game.

These young men deserve a standing ovation for such an outstanding accomplishment, which required dedication, and a lot of hard work and long days at the practice fields.

I can assure you this will be a life long memory as back in 1971 I was fortunate enough to be on a team which came in second place and I still have all the memorabilia, pictures, trophies, etc. and most importantly the friendships which still remain after over 30+ years.

What part of Jim's statement did you find racist. He just pointed out that the team was all white. By the " good old days " he referred to the days gone by as a figure of speach. Where did he say " hate ", skin color, slavery or anything else to indicate he was a racists. If it had been Bryan Gumble it would have been alright and he probably gotten some kind of na award for saying it. Get a life.

To answer your question, I have received zero emails regarding this subject. In fact, the last emails I received from anyone on this forum (who doesn't know me in real life) were from YOU, making claims like "I know all about you" and "I know more about you than you know about me." I guess I don't have to remind you how quickly that topic turned around and bit you in the behind, do I?

As for it being "funny that I haven't posted since then," it was barely 24 hours between my post and yours. Do a little fact-checking, and you'll see that 24 hours between posts is not that unusual for me. Get a life that doesn't involve sitting in front of a computer eating Cheetos all day, and you might find that you don't post as often, either.

And as long as you're doing research, check some of Jim's old posts; you'll find that this isn't the first time that he has made posts that some consider racist. In fact, check this very thread for Life Time Laker's response; notice the word HE (she?) uses.

I guess I don't have to ask whether or not you've gotten any smarter since last spring, do I? As usual, you've illustrated quite plainly that the answer is "nope, still as clueless as ever."

I just noticed that I looked at the wrong post for the time; it was actually only 18 hours between my post and yours, not 24. Which makes your ridiculous statement even more moronic.

I'm AMAZRD that you haven't posted since then! Or I would be, if I too was without a clue.

I don't think I can think of a group/culture/race that HASN'T been affected, persecuted, enslaved in history to different degrees. Every civilization has enslaved/punished some group. It was all scary. Why is this any different? Sure, it's wrong, but they were/are all wrong.

Perhaps the focus of this thread shouldn't be on whether any persecution happened, but why anyone would refer to the persecution of any group as "the good old days."

My goodness, this has gotten blown out of propulsion, as far as the "good ole days" I was refuring to FOOTBALL. No ill intent was intended.

Just remember, some people on this forum are experts at turning your words into their idiotic pleasures. Don't worry about them and enjoy your life to the fullest. Obviously, they do not have one.
