The bumpers were out and the fenders were onboard this weekend. What a beautiful couple of days we had.

I wanted to go to the Maxwell Rec Area in my pontoon boat but I noticed that the chart indicated a lot of stumps in the creek that takes one there. So I didn't try it. Is the channel well marked? Is it safe to go up that creek? I would appreciate someone who has been there advising me. Thanks.

it is actually not bad. if you go around the actual river bed you are better off if you do not know the area. when you come down the mouth of sandy creek, take a right and then go back left, you'll be able to navigate that way a lot easier. stick to the channel where there are houses on your right and islands all on your left.
