I am curious as to how many deaths occured on Lake Martin this year and how many were a result of a boat that is affected by the current boat ban?

I can't think of any over the past few years. That big stationary object called "the rock" seems to be a problem.

a few people have drown because of various reasons, one lady killed herself on her pwc trying to save her dog, a young man died after jumping off the rock.....to answer your question....NO not one fatality on this lake due to "big" boats...

interesting how the top 3 are people not knowing how to use the boat or not paying attention to what is going on.what are fast boats, for some it might be 30mph for others it might be 100mph.the problems are inexperianced or just dont care people not the boats.

Didn't the "woman on the PWC trying to save her dog" turn out to be a rumor? (Injured, yes, but not killed.)

The woman was killed. A young couple were injured down around the Bama Park area in a different incident.

So the accident to which you are referring is different from the one linked below?

That one is the false rumor. Both riders of the seadoo were injured when they hit a wake, but were not killed and no other boat was involved, I believe.

The lady that was killed in another (different ) accident was from Newan GA.
