HEARD THAT THERE ARE SOME NEW DEVELOPMENTS IN THE WORKS FOR THE NORTH END OF THE LAKE. HAS ANYBODY HEARD ANYTHING LIKE THIS AND DO YOU KNOW WHERE THEY ARE GOING TO BE?

If by north end you mean Parker Creek area, there is Bolton Cove (see botloncove.com) for sure. The property across from Veazy's from the "island " westward to just past the A-frame cabin has been bought and is pending development but nothing has been started. A little further north the old Russell Cabins have been removed and some sort of development is planned, some rumours claim it will be an extension of Willow Point. If by north you mean in the area of the 280 bridge in Alex City, beats me.

You have Baywood next to River Oaks which is a Russell development.

Then there is going to be a development up by the railroad bridge of timber framed cotttages and townhouses.

Then I heard the condo developers next to 280 bridge was trying to buy Lake Hill Restaraunt and Elk Lodge land. But have not heard this again in about 6 months or so.

A new locked gate has been installed at the end of Sturdivant Rd. Before that, I took a ride beyond the old gate. Trees are being taken down and a bumpy, dirt road will take you to the old Sturdivant House by the railroad tracks. Hate to see that land developed - the scenery is so nice.

I belong to the Elks and they are not selling.
