Well, now a picture of my flag has won 3rd place in the annuall photo contest. I am VERY PROUD. When I started hanging that flag years ago I never knew it would turn into such landmark. It has been spotted on TV in the Atlanta market, the internet, LML and various other places. Some of the pics have been spread by freinds that participate in the annual flag raising, but it seem to be most popular with realtors for use in their advertising. Wonder if I can get royalties?

from you to use in advertising in which they are making money from it? I would think you could sign something or have them not use it anymore. I am sure you are proud, but it might be nice to receive a little something. They are.
Like parents sign a waiver for our children in school should their pictures be used on TV, in printable materials, etc. We give permission to allow pictures of our child to be used for such.
I worked for McCann-Erickson Advertising Agency, Atlanta, my first year out of college (I was a communications major/journalism minor before I went back to get my teaching degree.)McCann-Erickson had (has? I don't know, but I assume) the Coca-Cola account (they were down the street from the North Avenue Coke Company) and I was in a Coke ad once. Because I worked for the company, I couldn't get paid. It was a print ad - in the newspaper.

.... been sought, and none needed. It is on what I am sure is APCO property, in plain public view. LIke a proud parent, I am just glad that others recognize my work......lol.
But if you ever pass between Youngs island and the east bank of the lake, near DARE park, look to the little one tree island between the mouth of Manoy and Madwin creeks and give a salute. Many GOOD people died so that I have the right to hang that flag every Memorial Day. I also recognize that there are millions of islamo fascist that would gladly die just take me and you with them.
