Congratulations to UA for landing Coach Nick Saban!!!!! It sounds like he has enough material to work with to get Bama back to where they belong. Coach Wingnut had better tighten up his show because Coach Nick is going to put Auburn back to where they belong.....on the short side of the scoreboard. GO DAWDS and ROLL TIDE!!!!!!!

Jaw. Remember Stoops has it in his contract that he would be the highest paid college football coach so by contract he'll one up Saben by the end of the day. I know after watching Stoops get his butt kicked the other night most of us would agree that sometimes contracts turn to bite you in the rear. Anyway I agree, it's time for CTT to shine! Warrrrrrr Eagle!

Nick Saban...
has never had an undefeated season.
has never had a season where his team won every home game.
has never had a season where he didn't lose at least one game by double-digits.
has a career average of about eight wins per year.
has a losing record vs. Tommy Tuberville... and two of the losses came while LSU was ranked in the Top 10, and Auburn was not.
has a history with the NCAA (Michigan St. was put on probation for violations committed in Saban's tenure.)
is about to start his fifth head-coaching job in the last 13 years.
It seems as if bama fans have heaped some high expectations on a guy who has an slightly-above-average-at-best pedigree.
And, if Saban hires Jimbo Fisher to be one of his assistants-- after the bama Board of Trustees vetoed Fisher after he agreed to be the Head Coach at UAB-- you can add "invited SACS to investigate alabama for the same reasons they investigated Auburn (a BOT that was "too involved")" to his resume.

Tuberville arrived at Auburn in 1999, Saban at LSU at 2000, so they never faced each other while Tuberville was at Ole Miss.
Here are some head-to-head facts, as written by Phillip Marshall:
Is (Nick Saban) at a level above other top coaches in the SEC? Does he give Alabama something Auburn doesn’t have?
The record says no.
It’s easy to compare Saban and Auburn coach Tommy Tuberville. They competed against each other in the same SEC division for five seasons. Here is how they stacked up during that period:
Saban was 48-16 overall at LSU and Tuberville was 46-18 at Auburn. Tuberville was 29-11 in the SEC and Saban was 28-12. (More on that at the end.)
Saban won a national championship, in 2003 despite being dominated at home by a five-loss Florida team. Tuberville didn’t get a chance to play for it in 2004 despite going 13-0 with one of the more dominating teams in SEC history.
Saban won two SEC championships, one in 2001 despite having three league losses, and another in 2003. Tuberville won one SEC championship, in 2004, and played for another in 2000.
Tuberville had one perfect season. Saban had none.
Tuberville’s record against Top 10 opponents was 7-7. Saban’s record against Top 10 opponents was 3-4.
Tuberville had two seasons in which he did not lose at home. Saban had none.
Head to head, Tuberville won three and Saban won two.
Add it all up, and it’s about as even as it could be. But, really, any comparison should go deeper than that.
Saban was at LSU, a program that has an entire state to itself, a state that has as many or more Division I-A prospects most years as Alabama. It’s not the same at Auburn, just like it won’t be the same at Alabama."-- Phillip Marshall

Tuberville: Michigan in 2000, Syracuse in 2001, North Carolina in 2001, Southern Cal in 2002, Southern Cal in 2003, and Georgia Tech in 2003.
Saban: UAB in 2000, Virginia Tech in 2002, Texas in 2002, and Iowa in 2004.
With one notable, glaring exception, those non-conference losses were to good quality teams. But... Saban lost to UAB. In Baton Rouge.
