We have grass or weeds that grow at the edge of our water & I have tried roundup & that did not kill it. Does anyone know what I am talking about and what will kill it? The kids don't like it & I would like to get rid of it. Thanks for your help!

Call the EPA and they will tell you.

Call your Alabama Cooperative Extension office, the agent should be able to help you.

I had some sort of grass growing next to our bulkhead. When I installed a new wall it was scraped away by the backhoe. The little that returned we just pulled up by hand. Came up easily.

Hello,

I have had success with this company...lots of good info on their site...

http://www.killlakeweeds.com/

I used the aquaclear to eliminate the muck around our boat ramp and floater..worked well. Will be using the Aquacide this spring for weeds.

I wasn't being cute with my reply wareaglechick. Its against the law to use anything that is harmfull to the environment or its inhabitants close to the water. Ask any of the marina owners about oil spills and such. I'm sure there is something acceptable to use but Roundup is not it.

I spoke with AU Horticulture Dept & they told me to email them a picture of the root and they would tell me what would take care of it. Rodeo (water friendly Roundup) will take care of most of the weeds according the AU.
