one can't find any homes of the said "average price" on the lake..... If I could, I'd buy half a dozen!

Even off water with some shared common water frontage, they want 300's and up.

Lots with new houses on them. Usually with some sort of water view.

Location - Location - Location

Although, just building cost these days can have a major influence. Seems you can buy a significantly nicer older home as opposed to building cost for close to the same house.

The crash and burn of sub-prime loans is also having a negative impact on homes sales from recent news reports.

The recent bad news on mortgages and real estate in general makes me think the coming lake condo crash is going to be much worse than anyone expects. And there may be a mini-crash in the marginal lake property market as well (shared frontage lots, seadoo lots, creek view lots, etc.) as there seems to be a lot of marginal property on the market right now.

The March 4th article was a complete fabrication about my property and it's history. This so called historian by the name of Jerry Allen who was quoted wouldn't know history if it slapped him. A complete embellishment. That rag would print anything. Truth is just a minor inconvenience.
