So is this good or bad? Other than the fact that it takes more energy to produce a gallon of Ethanol than the energy produced by it. A minor detail of course.

Did you hear that Castro spoke out against grain-based ethonol claiming it will starve 3 Billion, yes Billion, people on this good earth. Now since Castro is an iconic hero to the left, how are they going to reconcile this with the impending planetary disaster, climate change?

If it were not for some very concerned citizens who are aware of many "minor" details such as the one you point out, this meeting would probably never have occurred. Everyone should get knowledgeable about the corn ethanol industry and it's ramifications. It is not the panacea many would lead you to believe.

just waiting to happen if this is approved. Disgusted by the sound of it, and glad I am on the other side of the Lake.

Anyone started a petition? Reckon you would have to be a resident of the County to have influnce over the County. I would think the Clean Lake organization (Lake Watch) could start one for property owners and other concerned citizens.

Why did they only identify Brooks and Gregory, LLC as the only persons or entities of the Alabama Renewable Energy Alliance (AREA), LLC? What about Innovative Bio-Systems Technologies, LLC homebased in Wisconsin? Isn't their president, Alex Smardzich, the technical consultant for this proposed project? Isn't that a conflict of interest? If he screws up his consulting, will he sue himself?
