Just wanted to take a poll. How many of you can't get your boats into or out of your boathouse/slips on your property at 486'?

Not the answer you asked for but we should see both sides.

I need about 483 so yes.

483 will do for my pontoon, but I won't dock the ski boat with less than 484 even though it should be OK with less.....480 will work for the jet skis.

Was able to launch the pontoon on Sunday, April 29th (lake at 485.8) and put on lift. But I back carefully away from my dock for a while with about max up trim.

Need 484 to float boat so yes can dock it but in about 3 or 4 foot of water. Have to build a ladder to get from boat onto pier. Pier is about 5 foot about boat. Almost had a floating pier this year...will next!

Need 486 for the toon, but son-in-law needs about 486.5 minimum for the Mastercraft...........luckily this past winter I left my toon on the floater and s-i-l put his on a trailer in a nearby lot. We are enjoying the water , but may not be so lucky another dry year. What is the issue of excavating out about 2 or 3 feet from each slip?

When our boat ramp was first built, 486 was enough. However, 40 years of sediment buildup has bumped that up somewhat, no matter how much muck I shovel off of it every year. It is really not a big deal because the boat doesn't run anyway. We just can't get it out to take it somewhere to get fixed.

Have enough water, but being that low makes it muddy and without a lift yet, gets mud on the hull. If we would get about another foot though, I would have a lift. Have already paid the down payment and waiting on a little more water.

I cooooould......if I put the 'burban in granny 4x4 and reeeeeeeeally wanted too....:) The thing is...as another poster said....been here, done that....dry years are cyclical.
We don't care much for the muddiness but it will allow us to lay low for a while. The only thing that bothers us about a dry year is what it does to our lawn. Our first home keeps us plenty busy.....the second should be a reprieve. Oh yeah, HEY EVERYBODY! Remember me? LOL!

P.S. Maybe it'll keep the Gawd-forsaken Moombas outa the slough this year....:)

Hi Chriss. Long time. If you hear a lot of sneezing in the evenings it will be the Moombas ( alias " no sholders ") crawling through the dust. The no rain situation forces them to sneeze thus giving way to their presence. For those that water their lawns frequently you won't have the advanced warning. Be carefull.

I need about 483-484 to easily get the boat out and about. In my view, it is really risky to use the lake at much less than we now have, due to hazards, etc. Af full pool, it is reallly much more enjoyable, but we will not see full pool this year for sure.
